14 Manga Inspired Anime

More than 300 anime are released every year, most of which are manga-inspired! In this article, we are going to recommend some manga-inspired anime for you to watch and read the manga.

Manga are the famous Japanese comic books, resembling American comics, with several changes. Of course, manga is not a copy of American comics, let alone other types of magazines.

The main difference of a manga is its content in relation to art, stories and expression. Japanese stories will always have a very sharp side that leads to a strong expression of feelings, that is, always be prepared to watch anime like CLANNAD and ANGEL BEATS.

This list is based on my opinion, BAD and also opinions from friends. We always recommend that you check out the anime listed by us, as we always try to bring content that everyone likes, haha.

Unfortunately, this article is written in an open-ended manner, without choosing genres or story styles that are suited to a particular audience, so there are probably some stories you may not be interested in.

Kiss X Sis

Synopsis: KissxSis tells the story of Keita Suminoe, a young student at the elementary School. He is living in a house with his parents and his twin half-sisters, Ako and Riko, who kiss and harass him, always competing to see who shows him the most love. Although they consider themselves brothers they do not share blood relation; their parents got married while they were in childhood.

Even so, the relationship bothers Keita deeply, since his parents allow this relationship, and since they were raised together, and it scandalizes most of those who come to know about it. The twins, however, are insistent, and do everything possible and impossible to stay with him. At this juncture, other characters who have the same interest enter, and the plot unfolds on top of the dispute over Keita.

Anime Kiss x Sis - Love between brothers

Comments: KissXSis is a romantic comedy with a less adult erotic content, despite several indecent scenes. It's a relatively light story and cliché at some points, like the young little brother wanting to keep only a common relationship with his sisters and the various disputes over him, however, the story always creates points that make him reach some climax with some( s) of the girls. Among many romantic comedy anime This is one of the ones I highly recommend.

The order of the anime is a little confusing, not quite like the Monogatari Series, but it's inconsistent between the Main Anime and OVA's chronology. It makes no difference to watch Anime or OVA first, but following the order can help you a little. Taking into account that both anime and OVA have 12 episodes each.

Ansatsu Kyoushitsu

Synopsis: Class 3-E of Kunugigaoka School is introduced to a very strange figure. Turns out he's an octopus-shaped monster and from today he'll be their new teacher!

To make matters worse, this monster was responsible for destroying most of the moon and intends to do the same with planet Earth in a year, but first he will train all the students in this room for a very peculiar mission: to teach them how to kill it. him in less than a year, before he commits such an act.

Assassination Classroom

Comments: The coolest thing about Ansatsu Kyoushitsu, or Assassination Classroom, are its characters, charismatic and surprising. It's hard to imagine a kind monster that befriends those who wish to kill him, for the sake of justice and out of a mutual desire.

The story develops very well, with 2 seasons of 24 episodes, impossible not to leave something good. Of course, no story is perfect, but there are some that are close to it.

We have roles distributed in history, with the protagonism divided, although there are some that stand out more. It's a Shounen, so after all, it will be something fictional with abilities involved in the middle, however, superhuman abilities, so nothing too serious.

Trinity Seven

Synopsis: Every day is a normal day in the small town where Kasuga Arata lives; however, everything changed on the day of the Black Sun, and following him, a magician appears before him. The Black Sun caused the Breakdown Phenomenon that destroyed the city where he lives.

Because of this, his normal life was artificially reconstructed by a Grimoire that his childhood friend had left behind. Just what is the purpose of the mage coming to town? What is he going to do with the Grimoire's souvenir.

Trinity Seven

Comments: Trinity Seven is super interesting and exciting. Although the main character has a wrong view about some things haha.

The characters' powers are unique and each one evolves throughout the story in a way that never disappoints. The chronology is also very fluid, with details very well explained, despite having some small holes.

But if you don't like Harem, Baddas character and stuff like that, don't even watch it, but it's worth the experience to watch it, okay?

The article is still halfway through, but we recommend also reading:

Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches

Synopsis: Ryuu Yamada is known as a delinquent at his school; he was bored of classes after a year of attending school. One day, he accidentally falls down a flight of stairs onto Urara Shiraishi, the school's ace student.

Yamada wakes up to find he has organs she switched with! The two try to reverse the change and discover that the kiss causes the body switch. At the suggestion of the deputy student council president Toranosuke Miyamura, who revives the Supernatural Studies Club. The club encounters other "witches" with different powers that are activated with a kiss.

Comments: It's a mix of genres, more focused on romantic comedy and magic, but this is presented in a school universe.

Interesting are the personalities of the characters, each one having one according to their powers, but it is worth remembering that it is their personalities that define the powers (repeating...). Also cool are the powers, as they are in a way innocent powers, but that actually depend on their users. Having variety to their advantage, such as combinations.

This is one that anyone should watch, out of curiosity, analysis or fun.

Boku Dake Ga Inai Machi (Erased)

Synopsis: Struggling manga author Fujinuma Satoru is beset by a fear of expressing himself. However, he has the supernatural ability to be forced to avoid deaths and catastrophes by being sent back in time before the incident occurred, repeating time until the accident is averted.

One day, he is involved in an accident that incriminates him as a murderer. Desperate to save the victim, he travels back in time only to find himself an elementary school student a month before his classmate Hinazuki Kayo disappears. Satoru now embarks on a new quest: to save Kayo and solve the mystery of her disappearance.

14 anime inspired by manga - by leonardo

Comments: This is one of the best anime on this list, being one of the most talked about and seen during its release, and its MAL score of 8.65.

His story is simply fantastic, a criterion for this is to add elements of time travel, something that many authors are afraid to attribute to their works, as it is a theme that if misused will turn everything into a failure. Erased doesn't present complex themes, as Steins;Gate does, although Erased is the kind of story that doesn't need much explanation, but rather an appreciation of its characters, settings and story development.

One of the points that stand out the most in Erased is its characters, their stories and also their importance throughout history, despite being annoying at times. Having moving stories and also some possess a strong determination towards their goals or the welfare of others. The romance presented in the story is also fun, something more innocent and simple.

Kiseijuu: Sei No Kakuritsu

Synopsis: One day, aliens called Parasites, who lodge in living beings and take over their bodies, invade Earth. They attack men by entering through their noses and ears.

Izumi Shinichi is a 17-year-old boy who lives with his parents in a quiet Tokyo neighborhood and ends up being targeted by one of these aliens, but the individual fails to take over his body. Having to coexist, what will their fates be like?

14 anime inspired by manga - by leonardo

Comments: Kiseijuu's manga is one of the most famous, in addition to having an incredible reprint mark. It is not for little, in fact it is something deserved.

The story becomes very realistic and touching because of Shinichi's emotional growth, showing a reality, let's say unique. His development is crucial for Kiseijuu to be what he is. For having passed close to death and for having very sudden emotional shocks that he reaches someone mature.

It was difficult for him to accept everything that happened, I think that's natural, haha. There is not much to say about the characters, they are all ordinary people who have or have had normal lives.

To Love-ru / To Love-ru Darkness

Synopsis: The story of To Love-ru revolves around Rito Yuuki, a high school student who can't (or can't) confess to the girl of his dreams, Haruna Sairenji. One day, when he returns home and goes to the bathtub, a mysterious naked girl appears out of nowhere. Her name is Lala Satalin and she comes from the planet Deviluke, where she is the heir to the throne.

Her father wants her to return to his house so that he can marry one of his would-be husbands. But she eventually decides that she wants to marry Rito and stay on Earth. With that, Commander Zastin was ordered to bring Lala back. He reports to the Emperor that Rito could marry Lala, but Earthling says that marriage is impossible unless it is with the person you care about.

Lala truly falls in love with Rito and says she wants to marry him after hearing what he said. Her father decides that if Rito is able to protect Lala then he can marry her, but if he cannot protect her from her other suitors and does not fulfill the king's expectations, he will kill Rito and destroy Earth. However, Lala convinces her father not to destroy Earth, deciding to live there with Rito.

14 anime inspired by manga - by leonardo

Comments: To Love-ru is a typical romantic comedy, but with some different and exciting things, haha.

To Love-ru in general has a very well developed story wrapped solely in ecchi, but it's not like us fanservice, is something that is part of the story, at least the fans of ecchi and romantic comedy are not disappointed with To Love-ru.

The main character has many peculiarities. Being commonly hated for being considered the "Virjão of anime", throughout the story he gets loose, but that's thanks to characters who have many perverted plans, as well as Momo's "Harem" Plan.

The coolest thing about this story is its characters and the ecchi, if you're into that. The characters are charismatic and, like in many anime, they have the typical Tsundere attitude, melting in the arms of the main character in the end...

More than 300 anime are released, with almost 200 anime inspired by manga! Manga are the famous Japanese comic books, resembling American comics, with several changes. Of course, manga is not a copy of American comics, let alone other types of magazines.

The main difference of a manga is its content in relation to art, stories and expression. Japanese stories will always have a very strong side that leads to a strong expression of feelings, that is, always be prepared to watch anime like CLANNAD and ANGEL BEATS, you see?

Many anime are released and few are the ones that reach the expected numbers, and it may be different for your manga. This list was made based on my recommendations and those of others. Try to watch and read these works, it's really worth it, at the end of the article we'll tell you where to buy and stuff like that, there are always options!

Maken-ki

Synopsis: Based on the manga series by Hiromitsu Takeda. This romantic comedy is about Takeru Ohyama, a typical perverted teenager. His new school doesn't require entrance exams, and he's just co-ed! Unfortunately, his dreams of a happy school life are dashed when he discovers that school is much more than it seems.

All students wield a special point-a-maken to unleash their magical abilities in duels! Can Takeru find a Maken that works for him? Even trying to fit in at a new school and dealing with all sorts of girl problems?

14 anime inspired by manga - by leonardo

Comments: Maken-ki is like any other anime ecchi with a lot of Fansevice, but it's worth checking out for the history and for being a very busy anime. Because it is very busy, you will hardly get bored, in addition to containing comedy and a little romantic comedy. Another strong point is having a Badass character, haha!

Freezing

Synopsis: Somewhere in the future Earth has been invaded and is at war with alien beings from another dimension called the Nova. In order to fight them, Pandoras, genetically altered girls with great fighting ability and special powers, and Limiters, partners with the Pandoras who use "Freezing", which limits Nova's mobility.

The series focuses on Kazuya Aoi, a “Limiter” whose late sister was a “Pandora” and on Satellizer El Bridget, a powerful “Pandora” with a cold personality, both enrolled at West Genetics Academy, one of the many academies that train Pandoras and Limiters. .

Despite all the warnings his friends give him about Satellizer, who suffers from intense aphephobia, Kazuya decides to become his friend and Limiter. The story continues with Kazuya and Satellizer's relationship, the academy students and the war against Nova.

Comments: This anime encompasses many different elements, an anime for almost every taste! The story has a very interesting Sci-fi that involves many fights between the characters, in addition to having drama and also ecchi. Sci-fi is confusing to understand in Freezing, but nothing better than having a good observation of the story.

It's really cool the way the characters' past is shown, which leads us to a spirit of overcoming any past hurt, overcoming problems is very pointed out in Freezing. O ecchi it's a little taken to a more dramatic side, but forced at times. I highly recommend it for its diverse themes and characters.

Mangaka-san to assistant-san to

Synopsis: The story tells the life of a perverted mangaka, Yuuki Aito and his assistant, Sahoto Ashisu. Constantly pressured by his editor and inexperienced with girls, Aito asks Ashisu to act as a reference.

The anime Make-in, Freezing and Mangaka-San

Comments: It's a really cool anime to watch for fun. It encompasses romantic comedy and romance, nothing forced, everything natural. Even though he's a pervert, the story never turns erotic, without over-the-top fanservice. In addition to the characters being very essential for this pleasant atmosphere in the story!

Nazo no Kanojo X

Synopsis: When the strangely and quirky Mikoto Urabe transfers into Akira Tsubaki's class, she finds that life has thrown her the weirdest curveball ever. Because while Urabe can be an antisocial loner who sleeps at her desk, carries a pair of scissors in her panties, and breaks out into sudden fits of insane laughter, there's something about her that Tsubaki just can't quite put her finger on.

Until he accidentally puts his finger on it, and suddenly the phrase “sharing a skewer with a girl” takes on a whole new meaning! Before she can wipe her drool off her face, Tsubaki is mysteriously addicted to Urabe, which isn't as strange as the fact that she not only thinks it's normal, but already seems to have plans for her drooling new boyfriend.

Anime Naze no Kanojo, Hellsing and Sora no Otoshimono

Comments: This is one of the best on this list, I don't recommend it to anyone, as the story can be a bit banal and nonsense. However, the story has a sci-fi aspect that brings intrigue that leads to a point of mystery. This point is a slightly different novel, fun and juvenile. I think if our lives go by like this anime would be exciting, watch it and see how good it is!

Hellsing

Synopsis: The plot takes place in England in 1999, which, threatened by supernatural creatures, is protected by the Royal Order of Protestant Knights, the Hellsing Organization. Founded and run by the Hellsing family over 100 years ago, the secret organization specializes in fighting dark beings.

Led by Sir Integra Fairbrook Wingates Hellsing, her subordinates include butler and former combatant Walter C. Donez, newcomer Ceras Victoria and the mighty vampire Alucard. In this scenario, a conflict between the Protestants of Hellsing and the Catholics of Section XIII of the Vatican, adds to the rebirth of an old enemy, the Millennium group, responsible for the artificial creation of vampires that propagate throughout the United Kingdom.

Millennium was an organization, formed by several officers of the SS (Schutzstaffel), the elite of the Nazi troops. It was intended for research involving vampires, so that they would be used in battles for Nazi Germany in World War II.

14 anime inspired by manga - by leonardo

Comments: You will never see Vampire more badass than Allucard. Because it is an older anime, the deaths and the limitless blood are very expressive. The story always takes place in dark environments, shrouded in smoke and slums, in addition to crimes such as rape and robberies.

It's the kind of story for those who don't look for a limit to censorship or for those who don't want to waste time with half-assed stories. I highly recommend it, as do my friends before creating this list!

Sora no Otoshimono

Synopsis: Sakurai Tomoki, a young man whose motto is “Peace and quiet is the best”, has had the same strange dream since he was little about a girl who always asks him for help, but he can never remember her face after waking up. Eishiro Sugata, a senior at his school, believes that the dream is of the "New World".

Sugata invites Tomoki to analyze an anomaly, which he says is the New World. This anomaly would pass over their town at midnight, and it's Tomoki's chance to discover the meaning of his dream. While waiting under the cherry trees for his friends, Sugata and Sohara, his childhood friend, the anomaly in the sky appears, and an unknown being has fallen from the sky, that being is the angel Ikaros.

14 anime inspired by manga - by leonardo

Comments: This is one of my favorite anime. Yes, I'm a fan of ecchi! But even so, this is a serious list, so don't think I'm putting my interests ahead!

Sora no Otoshimono is a very busy and balanced anime as to the emotions to be passed. It's a romantic comedy and always presents that aspect as a focus, the perfect combination is formed between this comedy and ecchi. O ecchi it's not heavy, it just incites perverted things, you won't see boobs flying or physics being altered in an absurd way.

Besides having mysteries and a little sci-fi, nothing too complex. The characters are very nice, fun and each one has strong emotions. Another thing is the silly side of Ikaros, when it comes to love and things in life, this side is fun and makes us think a little about our own lives.

Another thing that makes me very impressed with Sora no Otoshimono is the emotions of the characters and the emotions passed on to the reader/viewer. Most of them are very sad moments, but it's good to see the bonds and values of friendships passed by the anime.

I couldn't help but comment on the art of Suu Minazuki, the author and mangaka responsible for this work and also the author of Plunderer. A very beautiful and unique art, all his manga have their authentic traits and modeled by him. I highly recommend it, friends!

Sankarea

Synopsis: The story revolves around a student, Furuya Chihiro, who is obsessed with zombies even his dream is to kiss a zombie girl. An unexpected set of circumstances causes Chihiro to meet a beautiful and elegant girl named Rhea Sanka.

Together they try to revive a cat that died in an accident. Shortly thereafter, Chihiro discovers that Rhea wants to get rid of all her mortal responsibilities and become a zombie.

Comments: It's an intriguing story, difficult to define. It can be considered a very light Sfi-ci, it also contains romance and comedy. The beginning is very boring and still, but the story develops in a very good way, it is worth checking out if you like something more drawn to the Slice of Life side, but don't be fooled, it's an anime to be very well watched .
