Powerful protagonists with surreal powers
To start well, anime that have nothing boring and only protagonists who like fights and always get involved in brawls. If it were a combination, I would say it would be combined with the shounen genre, which is aimed at teenage boys.
Well, unfortunately or fortunately, I can’t spoil anything here. It’s a shame because sometimes it’s good to give an incentive to keep watching, this happens to me with those anime that have many clichés and are very predictable. But even so, it doesn’t take away the fun of a good synopsis, so let’s go.
Fairy tail – A world of Magic
In the mystical land of Fiore, magic exists as an essential part of everyday life. My opinion on Fairy Tail
This is undoubtedly one of the best anime I’ve ever watched. Its only flaw is the lack of seriousness and tension around the theme of death. Yes, the characters never die no matter how injured they are, and in my opinion, even if they took the protagonist’s heart out, it wouldn’t affect anything.
This means that the main characters and even the secondary ones NEVER DIE. I don’t understand why, but it seems to have something to do with a previous work by the creator of Fairy Tail. I don’t know the details and it doesn’t matter for this article. Let’s continue with the list. My rating is 8!
Ao no exorcist – The Blue Exorcist
Ao no Exorcist follows Rin Okumura, who appears to be a common and problematic teenager – until one day he is ambushed by demons. His world is turned upside down when he discovers that he is in fact the very son of Satan, and that his demon father wants him to return so they can conquer Assiah together.
Not wanting to join the king of Gehenna, Rin decides to start training to become an exorcist so he can fight to defend Assiah alongside his brother Yukio. To do this, he chooses to enter a specialized school for training exorcists. And in that school, his brother is the one who will be his teacher.
My opinion on Ao no Exorcist
Anime very popular in the year of its release and to this day the audience clamors for its next season, I am one of them. The protagonist has an incredible power, but his demon nature prevails in some aspects of his personality, which made his upbringing and adaptation in the world difficult.
But since he was raised by an exorcist priest, these problems didn’t interfere as much as they could. This anime has some flaws, like that cliché of the protagonist always pulling power from some kind of emergency background. Which in my opinion is very annoying, but overall this is an exciting anime to watch. My rating is 8!
Danmachi – Dungeon ni deai
Life in the bustling city of Orario is never monotonous, especially for Bell Cranel, a naive young man who hopes to become the greatest adventurer on earth. After a chance encounter with the lonely goddess Hestia, his dreams become a little closer to reality.
With her support, Bell embarks on a fantastic quest while adventuring in the depths of the catacombs full of monsters in the city, known only as the “Dungeon”. Death lurks around every corner in the cavernous depths of this terrifying labyrinth, and a mysterious power moves between the shadows.
My opinion on Dungeon ni Deai
As one of the anime that stays in the top 10 best of all time, I couldn’t leave it out. With a protagonist who has an ability that makes him “grow fast”, this is undoubtedly the most original power I’ve ever seen in anime. And even if they say it’s an absurd power that makes everything boring, I think it’s much better for the progress to be explained in some way.
Even if this way is absurd, I think it’s much better than those anime that don’t explain where that power and progress come from. But unfortunately, we have a flaw that is the great evil of almost all anime, the protagonist is extremely slow when it comes to women. My rating is 9
Nanatsu no Taizai – The Seven Deadly Sins
In a world similar to medieval Europe, the feared and respected Holy Knights of Britannia use immensely powerful magic to protect the region of Britannia and its kingdoms.
However, a small subset of the Knights supposedly betrayed their homeland and turned their blades against their comrades in an attempt to overthrow the ruler of the Lions.
They were defeated by the Holy Knights, but rumors persisted that these legendary knights, called the “Seven Deadly Sins”, were still alive. Ten years later, the Holy Knights themselves carried out a coup d’état, thus becoming the new and tyrannical rulers of the Kingdom of the Lions.
My opinion on Nanatsu no Taizai
If this were left off this list, I don’t even know if it would be acceptable. As one of the most anticipated and acclaimed anime by the public, Nanatsu is undoubtedly one of the most recommended anime when the story involves a powerful protagonist, magic, fights, and demons.
For those who haven’t watched it yet, I advise you to put this at the top of the list. I personally love the love story between the character Ban and Elaine, but there are several other romantic traits in the story. Its flaws are few, but what bothers me the most are some perverted habits that don’t suit the protagonist. My rating is 8
Fullmetal Alchemist – Brotherhood
The alchemist Edward Elric, a brilliant young alchemist, has lost a lot in his twelve years of life: when he and his brother Alphonse try to resurrect their dead mother through the forbidden act of human transmutation, Edward loses his brother as well as two of his limbs. With his supreme alchemy skills, Edward binds Alphonse’s soul to a large suit of armor.
A year later, Edward, now promoted to state alchemist, embarks on a journey with his younger brother to obtain the Philosopher’s Stone. There are rumors that the legendary mythical object is capable of amplifying an alchemist’s abilities by leaps and bounds, allowing them to bypass the fundamental law of alchemy: to gain something, an alchemist must sacrifice something of equal value.
My opinion on Fullmetal Alchemist
I don’t need to praise this anime, because as they say, “its fame precedes it.” Few anime can be compared to this in terms of public evaluation. To give you an idea, Naruto cannot surpass the ratings and public that FMA has on MAL.
Of course, Naruto is much more influential in the media and in other sectors, but if we base ourselves only on the raw criteria of the MAL site, this is undoubtedly the best anime of all time. Because it is in first place both in rating and popularity. My rating is 10.

Anime to make you feel good about life
For those who are in that depression and have no motivation to put a foot out of bed, these are the anime that make you happy and lively right from the first episodes. I’ve already tested it and can certify that they work very well, even if the depression is huge.
They may not be the best for this purpose, since I had to blend and select only those that involved fantasy in the plot, but here’s a tip for a future list especially for people who are in that loneliness and depression. But now let’s get to the best I have to offer in this topic.
Hataraku maou sama
Instilling impressive fear in the hearts of mortals, the Demon Lord Satan begins to conquer the land of Ente Isla with his vast demonic armies. However, his efforts are thwarted by the hero Emilia, forcing Maou to make a quick retreat through a dimensional portal, only to land in the human world.
Powerless in a world without magic, Satan assumes the disguise of a human named Sadao Maou and begins working at a local fast-food restaurant to survive. He soon realizes that his goal of conquering Ente Isla is not enough, as he is determined to climb the corporate ladder and become the ruler of Earth, one satisfied customer at a time!
My opinion on Hataraku Maou Sama
When it comes to making you feel good about life, this is one of the best in this mission. Well, it’s common to see protagonists going to a world of magic and fantasy and becoming legends there, but what do you think happens when a Maou from another world comes to the human world? I initially thought he would dominate the world and provoke several wars and things like that, but…
My idea was completely wrong and I didn’t even get the most basic aspect right, which was guessing what he would do as soon as he arrived here. Unfortunately, I guessed that they would use the remnants of their powers to make money and I didn’t even get that right. In short, leave your glass empty and prepare your stomach so it doesn’t hurt from laughing so much. My rating is 9
Konosuba – An Isekai Comedy
After dying a laughable and pathetic death on his way back from buying a game, the high school student and recluse Kazuma Satou finds himself sitting before a beautiful but detestable goddess named Aqua. He then gets the chance to be reincarnated in a fantasy world.
But before leaving, he can choose one item of any kind to help him on his mission, and the future hero chooses Aqua. But Kazuma made a grave mistake – Aqua is completely useless! It turns out that living in a world like this is very different from how it happens in a game. Instead of going on an exciting adventure, the duo must first work to pay their living expenses. Indeed, their misfortunes are just beginning.
My opinion on Konosuba
The crucial tip in this Anime is to never try to guess anything about its plot. Don’t expect the protagonist to save the girls, don’t expect the girls to always support the protagonist, don’t expect them to become powerful, don’t expect them to act like they’re normal, don’t expect the protagonist to be a gentleman.
The only thing you can expect is the worst of all scenarios, that you can always expect. But the worst of all is how they get into trouble without even trying. I can’t understand what idea went through the author’s head, but it worked very well if the goal was to cause laughter. My rating is 10
Amagi brilliant Park
Kanie Seiya, an intelligent and extremely narcissistic high school student, believes that the beautiful but reserved Sento Isuzu invited him on a date to an amusement park called Amagi Brilliant Park. To his disappointment, the location is not just a decaying facility, the supposed date is merely a recruitment tour where Sento and Princess Latifa Fleuranza, the owner of the theme park, ask him to become the new manager of the park.
His cause for despair? As stipulated in a land use contract, Amagi has less than three months to meet a quota of 500,000 guests, or the park will be permanently closed and the land will be redeveloped by a greedy real estate company…
My opinion on Amagi Brilliant Park
Well, the question that remains in this synopsis is “does he accept?”. I can’t give spoilers because this is an initial part of the plot, and it’s important because the decision affects all the park’s employees. These employees are not common in any way and are also responsible for most of the funny scenes in the anime.
Despite being very egocentric and narcissistic, the protagonist has his moments of weakness and is always willing to attract more fame for himself. Of course, there is a thread of romance in the anime, but I don’t know if the story continues in the original work and how the romance ends. But overall, it’s an anime that makes you happy and excited. My rating is 8
kobayashi san Maid Dragon
When Kobayashi leaves for another day at work, she opens the apartment door to be greeted by an extraordinarily terrifying sight – the head of a dragon, looking at her from the other side of the balcony. The dragon immediately transforms into a beautiful, busty, energetic young girl dressed in a maid’s outfit, introducing herself as Tooru.
Despite being extremely efficient at her job, the maid’s unorthodox cleaning methods often end up terrifying Kobayashi and sometimes bring more problems than help. To complete, Tooru’s presence ends up attracting several other mythical beings to her new home, bringing a series of eccentric personalities.
My opinion on Kobayashi-San Maid Dragon
To finish off this anime that was a great success in 2017. With the design and personality of the characters, and also some aspects that focus mainly on ecchi. It captivated the audience and stood out as one of the best and most popular anime of the year.
I personally haven’t watched it yet, and don’t ask me why because even I don’t know. But I can affirm that a good story and charismatic characters are not lacking in the anime. I’m saying this because I’ve already watched some episodes, but I haven’t finished it. My rating is 8
Druaga no Tou – Tower of Druaga
They say that every few years, there is what is known as the “summer of Anu”. During that summer, thanks to the divine protection of the god of heaven Anu, all the demons in the tower lose their power. The country of Uruk began an invasion of the tower in order to suppress the demons.
They built positions inside the tower, with their eyes set on reaching the upper levels. The army of Uruk knows that this is the third Summer of Anu – a perfect moment to launch a mission to suppress the monster Druaga once and for all.
The army soldiers are not the only ones in the tower, however. An entire city called Meskia has formed on the first floor of the tower. It is home not only to soldiers, but also to adventurers who have heard rumors of a legendary treasure called the Blue Crystal Rod, which is said to rest at the top of the tower.
My opinion on Druaga no Tou
The synopsis doesn’t talk about the characters, this is because it’s not an anime that can be said to be “serious”, I would say it’s a satire or parody. The theme for this parody is exactly the fantasy genre and aspects like dungeons, guilds, expeditions, powers, and mainly powerful protagonists without explanations.
In this, the protagonist is extremely stupid and powerful, in my theory I think his cleverness and intelligence were exchanged for combat strength. I’m almost sure they wanted to show how absurd the cliché can become. It’s a shame it’s not very popular, because not everyone shares this opinion. My rating is 8

Love story from another world
As this topic could not be missing, I will only put the best in my opinion. But unfortunately, there are not many examples on my list, so I don’t know if it will satisfy those more demanding people, but I can say that it is a good list.
But after all, who doesn’t like romance? The anime that I give a rating of 10, most have a well-developed romance and the plot doesn’t lack when it comes to romance. And here are the best I know when romance mixes with fantasy.
But as I said before, there are exceptions and different tastes that vary from person to person, so I can’t say that all readers will agree with my list, but it’s worth taking a look.
Kyokai no kanata
Kanata Mirai Kuriyama is the sole survivor of a clan of warriors from the spiritual world with the power to employ her blood as weapons. As such, Mirai is tasked with hunting and killing “youmu” – creatures said to be the manifestation of negative human emotions.
One day, while thinking on the school roof, Mirai comes across Akihito Kanbara, a rare half-breed youmu in human form. In a state of panic, she plunges her blood saber into him, only to realize that he is an immortal being.
From there, the two form an improvised friendship that revolves around Mirai constantly trying to kill Akihito, in an effort to boost her own wavering confidence as a warrior of the Spiritual World.
However, as their bond strengthens, so does the tenacity of the youmu around them. Their misadventures will soon turn into a fight for survival, as the inevitable release of the most powerful youmu, Beyond the Boundary, approaches.
My opinion
It’s heartbreaking. That’s what I can confidently say about this anime, because its story deeply involves the audience before something that everyone hates happens. Of course, I’m not going to say what it is because it’s a big spoiler, but I can say that the romance is very deep.
I honestly haven’t found other anime that made me so angry at the ending, of course Akame Ga Kill is there to be the one I was most angry with the ending, but besides that one, I can say that Kyoukai is in second place. But that doesn’t take away the shine that the story has and that intensifies as it progresses. My rating is 9
Zero no tsukaima
Louise Françoise Le Blanc de La Vallière is a mage in a world of wands, cloaks, and royalty. Although she studies at the Tristain Academy, a prestigious school for mages, she has a big problem: Louise is unable to cast magic correctly, earning her the nickname “Louise the Zero” from her classmates in response.
When first-year students are forced to perform a summoning ritual, Louise’s summoning results in a catastrophic explosion! Everyone considers this another failure, but when the smoke clears, a boy named Saito Hiraga appears.
Now Louise is the master, Saito is treated as a slave, forced to clean her clothes and eat from the floor. But when an unknown mark is found engraved on Saito’s hand from the summoning ritual, it is believed to be the mark of a powerful familiar called Gandalfr.
My opinion on Zero no Tsukaima
It seems like a simple and “overused” synopsis that everyone is already tired of seeing similar ones in several other anime and it’s not even worth taking a look at this one. I advise and warn you not to be fooled by appearances and not to judge a book by its cover.
This is an anime that was so successful that even with the death of its author and consequently the stoppage of its original work, the public had so much influence that the studio had to improvise a final season to not leave the work incomplete and thus satisfy the public a little. And yes, this anime is all that, at least in my opinion and that of thousands or even millions of people in the world. My rating is 10
Rakudai kishi
There are few human beings in this world with the ability to manipulate their souls to form powerful weapons. Called “Blazers”, these people study and train at the prestigious Hagun Academy to become Mage-Knights; among the students is the so-called failure Ikki Kurogane, the only Blazer with an F rank.
However, when the worst student of the academy, Stella Vermillion, an A-rank Blazer who is also a princess, sees him naked, she challenges him to a duel with high stakes – the loser becomes the slave of the winner. There is no possible way that Stella can lose, but don’t judge first and regret it later.
My opinion on Rakudai Kishi
How can you not like this anime? A powerful but not abusive protagonist, charismatic characters, great soundtrack, great animation, the couple doesn’t beat around the bush with their relationship, fantastic fights, many special effects and several other criteria that an anime needs to be perfect.
This is the kind of anime that’s not worth commenting on because you’ll never get close to describing how good it is. But just watching the first episode already gives a good idea of how good this anime is, but of course it doesn’t compare to using the 3-episode rule. My rating is 10 (and a round of applause to complete)
Akatsuki no yona
Princess Yona lives a life of luxury and tranquility, completely protected from the problems of the seemingly peaceful Kingdom of Kouka; however, the sudden assassination of the king and the betrayal of her beloved cousin Su-won put Yona’s life in mortal danger. Forced to flee with only Son Hak, who is her childhood friend and bodyguard, the naive princess soon discovers that Kouka is not the idyllic place she imagined it to be.
Poverty, strife, and corruption run solidly, making the recovery of the throne nothing more than a wistful fantasy, given the current state of the kingdom. With only a mysterious legend to guide her, Yona must find a way to restore Kouka to its former glory while being relentlessly pursued by the forces of the new king of Kouka.
My opinion on Akatsuki no Yona
Another anime that breaks several clichés. And it’s quite interesting when someone has to lower themselves, but it becomes even more interesting when a princess is put in this situation. Of course, she will have help, but it is solely she who has to restore and regain her former position.
Romance will not be lacking, and the same can be said for drama and action, because the synopsis already gives us a hint of curiosity and imagine watching the anime. The princess’s luck is that some things are not lost, just like her position. And this will help a lot on her journey. My rating is 7
Mahoutsukai no yome
Chise Hatori, a 15-year-old Japanese girl, was sold for five million pounds at an auction to a tall masked gentleman. Abandoned at a young age and ridiculed by her peers for her unconventional behavior, she was ready to surrender to any buyer if it meant having a place to call home.
In chains and on her way to an unknown destination, she hears whispers of men dressed along her path, gossiping and complaining that such a buyer got his hands on a rare “Sleigh Beggy”.
Ignoring the murmurs, the mysterious man takes the girl to an office, where he reveals himself as Elias Ainsworth – a mage. After a brief confrontation and a bit of teleportation magic, the two open their eyes to Elias’s picturesque cottage in rural England. These events mark the beginning of Chise’s story as an apprentice and supposed fiancée of the ancient mage.
My opinion on Mahou Tsukai Yome
And to close this topic with a golden key, a very recent anime. And just as it is very recent, it is also very praised and its fame has already traveled the world and won a large number of fans. But unfortunately, I couldn’t help but curse the fact that the protagonist continued to have a goat’s head.
Well, maybe that’s the reason it was so successful, after all, it’s not every day we can see such a different protagonist. But that’s not all, its animation and stories are extraordinary compared to other anime, I was personally impressed with how beautiful the graphics turned out. My rating is 9

Fantasy Anime – A touch of seriousness
As not everything is flowers, and therefore sometimes we need to play a more serious role, we also need from time to time to watch something a little more intense and exciting to get us out of that comfort zone, and for this reason this topic was made.
To take away your pillow and your blanket and throw you into a story that will inflict a large amount of seriousness and make you reflect on your life, your actions, your behavior and even on your own existence. So let’s get to the list.
Re:zero Kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu
When Subaru Natsuki leaves the convenience store, the last thing he expects is to be ripped from his daily life and fall into a fantasy world. Things don’t look good for the bewildered teenager; However, not long after his arrival, he is attacked by some bandits.
Fortunately, a mysterious beauty named Satella, in pursuit of whoever stole her insignia, appears on top of Subaru and saves him. To thank the honest and kind girl, Subaru offers to help in her search, and later that night, he even finds the whereabouts of what she is looking for.
But unknown to them, a much darker force is pursuing the pair from the shadows, and just minutes after locating the insignia, Subaru and Satella are brutally murdered.
However, Subaru immediately awakens to a familiar scene – confronted by the same group of bandits, meeting Satella again – the mystery deepens as the story inexplicably repeats itself.
My opinion on Re:Zero
Considered one of the best anime of 2016, this anime is undoubtedly a divider of opinions. Some think it didn’t have a good outcome and development, while others think it was the perfect anime and the contrary opinion comes from those who can’t let go and leave their comfort zone.
I reluctantly fall into the last group, for some aspects that were placed very explicitly, this is not in a larger ranking. But it doesn’t stay off this list, because it is still one of the best anime you can find so far. But I don’t advise it for those who have a weak stomach and give up easily. My rating is 9
Mushishi
“Mushi”: the most basic forms of life in the world. They exist without any goals or purposes other than simply “being”. They are beyond the bonds of the words “good” and “evil”. Mushi can exist in innumerable forms and are capable of imitating things from the natural world, such as plants, diseases, and even phenomena like rainbows.
This is, however, only a vague definition of these entities that inhabit the vibrant world of Mushishi, because even calling them a form of life would be an oversimplification. Detailed information about Mushi is scarce because most humans are unaware of their existence.
My opinion on Mushishi
Well, you won’t find much action in this anime, or better yet, you won’t find almost any action. Basically, there will be a lot of drama and psychological plots, the latter I guarantee will be presented in abundance, which in my opinion is a requirement to increase the rating.
I can’t comment much because I don’t know how to do it. This anime is extremely intriguing and when you delve deeper into the curiosity about this plot, it’s not easy to get rid of the obsession that is created, I really liked this anime and I recommend it for people who like more psychological stories.
Made in Abyss
Made in Abyss – An open abyss that extends to the depths of the earth, full of mysterious creatures and relics from a long time past. Countless brave individuals, known as Divers, have tried to solve the mysteries of the Abyss, descending without fear into its darker realms.
The best and bravest of the divers, the White Whistles, are hailed as legends by those who remain on the surface. Riko, the daughter of the missing White Whistle Lyza the Annihilator, aspires to become like her mother and explore the farthest reaches of the Abyss. However, as a mere Red Whistle, she is only allowed to traverse its highest layer.
Even so, Riko has a chance encounter with a mysterious robot with the appearance of a common boy. Convinced that the technology to create Reg must come from within the Abyss, the two decide to venture into the abyss to recover his memories and see the bottom of the pit with their own eyes.
My opinion on Made in Abyss
Despite its characters being drawn with a fairly childish style, the anime is not suitable for that age group, and even some older people still have their stomachs turned by several of the tense parts that this anime causes.
It’s tense from the start, but I recommend using the 3-episode rule on this anime because it has some parts of introduction to secondary characters and other important preparations that every anime needs. But after that, it’s just tension and overwhelming psychological pressure. A golden anime that I don’t recommend for those with a weak stomach. My rating is 9
Kekkai sensen
Supersonic monkeys, vampires, talking fish-men, and all kinds of different supernatural monsters living alongside humans – this is part of everyday life in Hellsalem’s Lot, formerly known as New York, for some time now. When a portal between Earth and the beyond was opened three years ago, New Yorkers and creatures from the other dimension were trapped in an impenetrable bubble and forced to live together.
Pursuing photography as a hobby, Leonardo Watch is living a normal life with his parents and sister. But when he obtains the “God’s All-Seeing Eyes” at the cost of his sister’s vision, he goes to Helsalem’s Lot to help her, finding answers about the mysterious powers he received.
My opinion on Kekkai Sensen
A very banal plot, and basically very rushed and it didn’t have the necessary time to introduce each new character appropriately. This resulted in new characters jumping from everywhere and taking important positions in the plot, with most having no information to make their introduction.
This problem is serious and resulted in a big drop in the ranking, unfortunately it was too rushed, but its plot and characters are excellent, and if it were done the right way, it would be in a much higher position in the MAL ranking. But still, it’s an anime that excites you and gets you involved with its plot. My rating is 7
Violet evergarden
The Great War finally came to an end after four long years of conflict; fractured in two, the continent of Telesis slowly began to flourish once more. Caught in the bloodbath was Violet Evergarden, a young woman raised with the sole purpose of decimating enemy lines.
Hospitalized and mutilated in a bloody skirmish during the final leg of the War, she was left with only words from the person she loved most, but without understanding their meaning. Recovering from her wounds, Violet starts a new life working at the CH Postal Services after a falling out with her new family of guardians.
My opinion on Violet Evergarden
When it comes to being serious and life lessons, I think there’s no better example than this story. A strong candidate for the best anime of 2018, we have a story that moved thousands of people, for its story of overcoming and its great drama.
And drama is the word that defines this anime, basically there are two great dramas. Fantasy Harem Anime – One man, Several women
To finish our list with a golden key, the best combination that exists. In my opinion, it’s always interesting to have a harem in anime, but when the anime has fantasy, it’s almost mandatory to have a harem.
This is my opinion, but harem is one of the best genres that exist, but it doesn’t help much since the protagonists don’t have the attitude for it, and in the overwhelming majority of times the protagonist is a coward without defense when it comes to serious romance. I sincerely root for an anime with more anime like Rakudai kishi.
Trinity seven
One day, the bright red sun stopped shining, causing the “Break Phenomenon” – the destruction of the city of Arata Kasuga and the disappearance of the people who inhabited it. Everything, however, is not yet lost; using the magical grimoire given to him by his childhood friend and cousin Hijiri Kasuga, Arata’s world is artificially reconstructed.
To investigate the phenomenon, Lilith Asami appears before Arata, whose artificial world suddenly disintegrates. He is given two choices: hand over the book or die. However, Arata chooses the third option: enroll in the secret magic school Royal Biblia Academy, where six other magic users await him. Along with Lilith, these six form the Trinity Seven, the elite of the school who each reinforce their own power and ability.
My opinion on Trinity Seven
Yes, as it couldn’t be missing in this topic, the anime that fits appropriately in 85% of the requirements I have to be considered a perfect anime. Our protagonist is one of the guys with the most attitude in the anime universe. But because there are no results, he won’t get the 10.
But for those who like a cocky and totally out-of-the-ordinary protagonist, this is the anime I most recommend. Unfortunately, there is a cliché that loves to appear in the plot, which is the protagonist getting power without a concrete reason. There are explanations but they don’t convince me, but even so, it’s the best anime I have on this topic. My rating is 9
Gate
The Japan Self-Defense Forces (JSDF) officer and otaku, Youji Itami, is on his way to attend a doujin convention in Ginza, Tokyo, when a mysterious portal in the shape of a large gate suddenly appears.
From this portal, supernatural creatures and warriors dressed in medieval armor emerge, attacking the city, killing and destroying everything in their path. With quick actions, Youji saves as many lives as he can while the rest of the JSDF directs its efforts to stop the invasion.
Three months after the attack, Youji was tasked with leading a special reconnaissance team, as part of an JSDF task force, that will be sent to the world beyond the gate – now being called the “Special Region”.
They must travel to this unknown world in order to learn more about what they are dealing with and try to make friends with the locals, in the hope of creating peaceful ties with the dominant empire. But if they fail, they face the consequence of participating in a devastating war that will engulf both sides of the gate.
My opinion on Gate
This synopsis is very complete and by itself already does a great advertisement for the anime, but things like the anime having the most charismatic character of all anime, in my opinion, are not written. It’s not an exaggeration, I consider the gothic loli in this anime as the most charming and with the best personality of all anime.
Well, leaving my opinion aside, the anime has some mistakes, like the lack of a reason for the portal to appear, I believe it’s explained in the light novel but I still haven’t found that part. Another big mistake is the fact that the protagonist, even being a great otaku, doesn’t let his whims take over his body and take advantage of the girls. This is my anxiety but it’s not mandatory (kkkk). My rating is 9
Strike the blood
Kojou Akatsuki’s days as a common high school student in the Demon District of Itogami Island come to an abrupt end after a fateful encounter leaves him with the notable abilities of a vampire.
It doesn’t take long for him to be pushed into the spotlight when it’s discovered that he is the Fourth Progenitor, an immensely powerful vampire that most consider merely a legend.
Fearing Kojou’s destructive potential, the Lion King Organization sends a sword shaman apprentice, Yukina Himeragi, to monitor him, and if he becomes a threat, to kill the boy considered the most powerful vampire in the world.
Forced together by circumstance, the two form an unlikely alliance when Kojou comes to terms with his abilities and both fight to protect the city from various emerging chaotic forces.
My opinion on Strike the Blood
Very popular because of its protagonist. Not because the protagonist has a good attitude and is powerful by himself, it has nothing to do with it. The fact is that to get powers he needs to drink people’s blood, and what does that mean? Yes, many girls with bitten necks.
Of course, they all gave permission and that’s what’s interesting. Except for these parts, the protagonist is common (cowardly and runs away when it comes to women). But that’s not all, to complete it still has a big and annoying catchphrase that the two who were presented in the synopsis use every time they fight together. Which makes the fight even more boring and predictable. My rating is 7
Ichiban ushiro no daimaou
Dreaming of changing the world forever, Akuto Sai transfers to the Constant Magic Academy, where he befriends a virtuous member of the ninja clan, Junko Hattori. On the way to the academy, they promise to make the world a better place together; however, the situation suddenly worsens when he arrives – it is prophesied that he will become the Demon King!
As the word of his destiny spreads, the school begins to fear him, and Junko’s trust in him wavers. While Akuto is determined not to let his predicted future control his destiny, it seems that everything he says and does only serves to reinforce the fact that he is destined to be the Demon King.
In addition, he is surrounded by a harem of beautiful girls, each with their own plans for him, from bringing him to justice to simply bathing him with love. With his newly awakened powers, Akuto must deal with his growing list of misfortunes and fight to prove that his destiny is not set in stone.
My opinion on Ichiban Ushiro
To relieve the tension of so many cowardly protagonists, here is the anime that has one of the most badass protagonists I’ve ever seen. It doesn’t compare to Tatsuya (mahouka kouko) in some aspects but totally surpasses in others. And for this reason and others that I can’t say, this anime is on this list.
And not just to make any participation, this anime is here on its merits. It’s not every day that an anime appears where the protagonist is in a great dilemma. Because his nature is for evil, but his consciousness is for good. And with this dilemma he has to deal with throughout the anime. It’s a shame that it only has one season even with more than 10 volumes of the light novel.
Rosario to Vampire
The Youkai Academy is an apparently normal boarding school, except that its students are monsters learning to coexist with humans. All students attend in human form and accept normal academic disciplines, such as literature, gym, foreign language, and mathematics. However, there is a golden rule at Youkai Academy – all humans found on school grounds must be executed immediately!

My opinion on Rosario + Vampire
I would love to be in this character’s shoes, there’s the bad part of suffering from ammonia from having his blood sucked every day by a vampire. But it doesn’t take away the glory of being able to coexist and be disputed by beautiful monster girls.
Yes, I have a small fetish for anime that have monster girls. But this doesn’t influence my opinion on the crucial point of this anime, which is the protagonist having a preference for a single girl. What goes through the protagonists’ heads to choose only one girl? It seems I will never understand this.
