Shokugeki no Souma (食戟のソーマ) is a manga series written by Yūto Tsukuda and illustrated by Shun Saeki, published through Shueisha, with its individual chapters released through Weekly Shōnen Jump, currently having 16 volumes and a series of anime with 24 episodes, with a second season already scheduled.

Synopsis: Shokugeki no Sōma tells the story of a boy named Sōma Yukihira, whose dream is to become a full-time chef at his father's restaurant and surpass his father's culinary skills. However, as soon as Sōma graduates from high school, his father, Jōichirō Yukihira, closes the restaurant to cook in America. Nevertheless, Sōma's fighting spirit is reignited by a challenge from Jōichirō: to survive in an elite culinary school, where less than 10% of the students graduate. Can Sōma survive?

Recipe for Apple Risotto

Ingredients:

  • 80g Arborio rice
  • 40g of onion
  • 30g of butter
  • 20g Parmesan cheese
  • 10ml of sake
  • 600ml of apple juice
  • 2/4 of an apple (preferably a red apple)
  • 2 slices bacon
  • italian parsley
  • Hi
  • black pepper

Preparation:

  • 1. Chop the onion and parsley
  • Cut the apple and dip it in the water.
  • 3. Heat the apple juice;
  • 4. In a pan over medium heat, melt the butter, then sauté the onion and rice;
  • Add the sake and cook;
  • 6. Add a ladle of apple juice, stir and let it cook, when you get a sticky alloy and there is no liquid, add
  • another ladle of apple juice again;
  • 7. Repeat the process 6 times until the rice is cooked;
  • 8. When the rice is almost cooked, add the apple and let it cook together with the rice;
  • Grate the cheese and mix it with the rice.
  • 10. Cook the bacon the way you prefer;
  • 11. Once served on a plate, all that remains is to decorate the risotto with bacon and parsley on top;
