The Best Female Characters in Anime: Personal Favorites

In this list, I share the best female characters of all according to my personal taste. I usually take into account personality, charisma, and emotional impact. It is sometimes hard to explain why certain characters stick with us for years, but getting to know them makes it clear why they hold a special place on my list.

Kuroyukihime [Accel World]: I have always had a special affection for this character, and for me, she is one of the best. She even stayed as the wallpaper on my phone for several years. She is confident, powerful, and carries an electrifying personality throughout the story.

Makise Kurisu [Steins;Gate]: Not only is she from one of my favorite anime, but her charisma, her crucial support for Okabe, and the emotional weight of their romance make her unforgettable. The fact that she is also a classic tsundere makes her one of my absolute favorites.

Haibara Ai [Detective Conan]: While Detective Conan is an absolute giant in Japan, Ai Haibara brings a striking, mature presence to the series. She has a tragic story, sharp wit, and great chemistry with Conan. (The Ran team will kill me, but I also like Ran).

Kuroneko [Oreimo]: Another character I strongly sympathized with and consider one of my favorites. To this day, the ending with the protagonist frustrates me. I also want to highlight the character on the right named Ayase Aragaki, who is also great.
