Action animes of the gore genre focus heavily on violence, full of guts, blood, heads rolling, and scary things. If you think your heart can handle it, check out this list of the best Gore animes.
The list of Gore Animes is not for everyone. I myself am one of those who hates this excess, but at the readers’ request, let’s share a complete list of the best gore animes.

Elfen Lied – The most famous Gore anime
The story of Elfen Lied revolves around prejudice, social alienation, abuse, jealousy, revenge, and other ugly things that would lead someone to do unimaginable things. This anime breaks all the limits one might have of violent.
In addition to the excellent plot, viewers should also expect many scenes of pens piercing skulls in one of the most violent and bloody animes of all time. Teenagers often show this anime to those who say that anime is for kids.
Don’t let the cute little faces in the image below fool you. The characters in this anime not only kill people but also children and animals. The secret lies in the invisible and powerful arms.

Higurashi no Naku Koro ni kai
In my opinion, one of the second most Gore and violent animes after Elfen Lied, which is why it ranks second on the list. The story takes place in 1983 in a rural village called Hinamizawa (based on Shirakawa, Gifu).
The main character of the series, Maebara Keiichi, moves to a village and becomes friends with his classmates: Ryuugu Rena, Sonozaki Mion, Furude Rika, Houjou Satoko, and later Sonozaki Shion.
The anime is based on a game, which consists of an investigation of murders that occur during a local festival. Usually, one of the friends becomes paranoid and starts killing the others and his own friends.

Hellsing – Vampire and Monster Hunters
In Hellsing, a British task force plays the important role of annihilating threats in the form of vampires, ghosts, and other supernatural beings, amidst a true bloodbath throughout the city.
You don’t have to be a genius to know that these evil beings always choose to give their victims macabre deaths. On the other hand, a vampire named Allucard annihilates his own kind in a sinister way.
The anime has a season of 13 episodes released in 2001, an OVA with 10 episodes released in 2006 and 2012, in addition to the manga which is currently on hiatus.

Another – Death of the Umbrella
26 years ago, in a third-year classroom of a high school, there was a student named Misaki. She died suddenly, and her classmates decided to continue as if she were still alive until graduation.
Then, in the spring of 1998, a boy named Sakakibara Kouichi transfers to the class and becomes suspicious of the atmosphere of fear in that classroom. In particular, there is a beautiful and distant girl named Mei Misaki who wears an eye patch and is always alone drawing.
Throughout the anime, thousands of sinister things happen, macabre deaths with umbrellas stabbing necks, people being crushed, decapitated, and other terribly scary things.

Claymore
The anime features women trained in swordsmanship with special powers. These powers enhance their physical abilities to beastly levels, where they literally transform into beasts if they cannot control themselves.
If one of these swordswomen loses control and becomes such a monster, they are killed by the very women with this power. It is ironic, as they live to kill monsters that are partly their destiny if they do not control their power.
Anyway, the difference is that there is no fuss about the fact that they are women; the anime is violent. On the contrary, this anime is much more violent than a large part of animes from all genres.

Tokyo Ghoul – Cannibalism Anime
Another quite popular anime that has a bit of Gore and a rather sinister story. A young boy ends up becoming one of the fearsome Ghouls, beings with powers that can only eat flesh.
As a half-human and half-Ghoul, he is torn between the two worlds, being hunted by humans and sometimes by other Ghouls. An epic anime, with an epic soundtrack and a lot of action.
Unfortunately, the anime did well in the first season but lost its way in the following ones. There were many changes in studio, script, direction, art, and other things that unfortunately ruined the anime quite a bit, but it is worth it.

Kiseijuu – Parasyte
One of my favorite animes, where parasites fall to earth in order to dominate human brains and infiltrate among them. Unfortunately, these parasites need to feed on human flesh.
A young, passionate teenager ends up being infected by a parasite, but the parasite cannot dominate his brain, only lodging itself in his right hand. Fortunately, the parasite has no desire to eat human flesh as it does not dominate the brain.
The parasite and the protagonist agree to coexist until they have to face other parasites that put both their lives in danger. The abilities present in the parasites are superhuman. In my opinion, it is the best anime on this list.

Deadman Wonderland
The protagonist Igarashi Ganta had a normal life until one day his classmates are murdered and he becomes the main suspect of the crime he did not commit.
A lost and confused young man ends up being sent to a prison where he discovers that he needs to fight other prisoners using a skill that allows him to control blood.
In prison, Ganta discovers that the real killer is named Red Man. Using his abilities and powers to control his own blood, Ganta tries to hunt down this killer to take revenge at all costs.

HIGH SCHOOL of the dead
It happened suddenly: the dead began to rise, and Japan was thrown into total chaos. When these monsters start terrorizing a school, Takashi Kimuro is forced to kill his best friend when he is bitten.
Promising to protect Rei Miyamoto, the girlfriend of the man he just executed, they narrowly escape from their death trap in a school, only to be greeted by a society that has already fallen.
A classic zombie anime full of action all the time and even a bit of ecchi. The anime is quite honest, despite straying a bit from reality by shooting between a woman’s breasts to hit a zombie.
Berserk
A man has a curse that makes demons chase him every night, and to avoid being devoured by them, this man is forced to kill or die all night long and every night since he was cursed.
This man is a swordsman who was raised since childhood in a group of mercenaries; since childhood, he has the habit of carrying huge bastard swords. An anime for those who want a lot of action and blood.

Attack on Titan
The anime takes place in a world where people live inside a wall to protect themselves from giants that eat people. In this world, there are 3 military groups responsible for human survival.
After living in peace for over 100 years, one day the protagonists’ village, which is located behind the last wall, is devastated by a huge giant that creates a hole in the wall. The 3 children flee for their survival and decide to join the army.
What will be the mystery behind this bloody story? How will they be able to defeat these giant titans? This is one of the most popular animes of all time.
