Korean dramas, often called K-dramas, have built a huge audience around the world. Netflix now has a broad catalog, so it makes sense to separate the titles that really stand out from the ones people only scroll past.
In this article, I start with seven recommendations and then leave a longer list of other Korean series worth searching for on the platform. That way, you get both a quick starting point and plenty of options for your next binge.

What are Korean dramas?
Korean dramas are series from South Korea that usually work with compact seasons, emotional storytelling, and characters that are easy to follow. Many of them tell a complete story in a single season, which is a big part of their appeal.
They also move comfortably between romance, comedy, suspense, slice of life, and thriller elements. That flexibility is one reason so many viewers end up watching one title and then immediately looking for the next.
Why do so many people like Korean dramas?
One reason is structure. A lot of Korean series feel more focused than Western shows that stretch themselves across too many seasons. The plot usually moves forward with a clearer goal, and the characters tend to carry real emotional weight.
They also manage to shift between light moments and serious themes without feeling messy. If you want something that can be romantic, tense, funny, and dramatic in the same season, K-dramas do that very well.

My Holo Love
This was one of the first Korean dramas that really grabbed my attention. It mixes artificial intelligence, holograms, romance, chase scenes, conspiracies, and a bit of suspense without losing its emotional center. The series has 13 episodes of about 50 minutes each and stays engaging from start to finish.
The story follows a woman with face blindness who comes into contact with a pair of glasses powered by an AI named Holo. From there, the series grows into a mix of emotional drama and tech-driven intrigue.
Hello, My Twenties!
This series follows five young women who end up living together and dealing with friendship, love, insecurity, and the messy parts of everyday life. It feels more grounded than a lot of romantic series because the characters are allowed to be awkward, funny, and sometimes frustrating.
It is also known for the kind of cliffhangers that make it very easy to jump into the next episode. Since it has two seasons, it gives you enough time to really settle into the group dynamic.
Mr. Sunshine
Mr. Sunshine is one of the highest-rated Korean Netflix originals. This 24-episode mix of romance, action, and history tells the story of a Korean boy taken to the United States in 1871 aboard a warship.
Years later, he returns to Korea as an American soldier and falls in love with a noblewoman trained as a sharpshooter. At the same time, the series builds political tension and colonial pressure into the story, which gives it much more weight than a simple romance.
Misaeng - Incomplete Life
In this 20-episode slice-of-life drama, Jang Geu-rae spends his youth trying to become a professional Baduk player. When that dream fails, he ends up starting over as an intern at a large company without the academic background most people around him have.
That setup turns into a very human story about pressure, self-worth, office life, and the quiet friendships that help people endure hard routines. If you like workplace dramas with a grounded tone, this one is hard to ignore.
Live
Live follows police officers from different divisions and shows their daily work in the middle of injustice, corruption, pressure, and danger. What makes it stand out is the way it treats those jobs as exhausting, human, and morally complicated instead of turning everything into easy heroics.
The 18-episode Netflix original was well received because of its strong cast and the way it ties personal stories to larger social problems. It is one of the most solid police dramas in this corner of Netflix.
Memories of the Alhambra
Yoo Jin-woo, the CEO of a company focused on optical devices, receives an email about an innovative game and travels to Granada, Spain, to meet its creator, Jung Se-joo. Once he arrives, he finds himself pulled into a strange chain of events involving Se-joo's disappearance.
The series blends augmented reality, games, suspense, and mystery in a way that works especially well for viewers who like technology-driven plots without losing the dramatic side of the story.
Stranger
The cold prosecutor Hwang Shi-mok teams up with detective Han Yeo-jin to hunt a serial killer. Very quickly, though, the series makes it clear that the corruption surrounding them is just as dangerous as the criminal they are trying to catch.
With 16 episodes, Stranger became a favorite among both Korean and international viewers thanks to its tight writing, strong performances, and the kind of suspense that keeps building instead of burning out early.

It is not a definitive catalog, since new titles enter the platform all the time, but it still works as a useful guide if you want more names to search right away.
