Synopsis: Ushio Aotsuki is a stubborn high school student and the son of an eccentric temple priest who goes through life without taking care of his father's allegations about supernatural monsters known as Youkai. However, as he is tending to the temple while his father is out of work, his tasks lead him to a shocking discovery: in the basement, he finds a threatening youkai -led youkai Youkai.
The beast in question is Torah, famous for its destructive power, which tries to coerce Ushio to free it from its five hundred years. Ushio does not trust his words and refuses to release him. But when a sudden outbreak of Youkai puts his friends and home in danger, he is without choice but to trust in, his only insurance being the old spear if he gets out of control.
The meeting of Ushio and Tora is just the beginning of the unlikely journey of the duo in the depths of the spiritual kingdom. With the legendary spear of beast in his hands, Ushio will discover how real and threaten the world of supernatural can be.
