Synopsis: Putting his life in line, Willem Kmetsch leaves his loved ones behind and proposes to fight a mysterious monster, and even being victorious, he is frozen on ice. It is during its cold sleep that terrifying creatures known as "beasts" emerge on the earth's surface and threaten the existence of humanity. Willem wakes up 500 years later, just to find the only survivor of his race when humanity is eliminated.

Along with the other surviving races, Willem takes refuge in the floating islands in the sky, living afraid of the animals below. He lives a life of solitude and only does strange jobs to survive. One day he has the task of being a weapon warehouse janitor. Thinking of none of this, Willem accepts, but soon realizes that these weapons are actually a group of young goblins. Although they have all the resemblance to humans, they have no consideration for their own lives, identifying themselves as mere weapons of war. Among them is Chtholly Note Senosious, which is more than willing to sacrifice if it means defeating animals and ensuring peace.

Willem becomes a father figure for young goblins, watching them with love and supporting them the way he can. He, who once fought so bravely on the front lines, now only expects those sent to the battle to return safely from the monsters who destroyed their species.
