Shinsekai yori

Synopsis: In the city of Kamisu, 66, 12-year-old Saki Watanabe, has just awakened to his psychic powers and is relieved to join his friends-The Brave Satoru Asahina, the shy Mamoru Itou, the cheerful Maria Akizuki and Shun auNuma, A mysterious boy Saki admires - at Sage Academy, a special school for doctors. However, discomfort appears when Saki begins to question the fate of those who cannot arouse their powers, and the children begin to get involved with secret matters, such as contaminated cat rumors that kidnap children.

Shinsekai Yori tells Saki's unique story and her friends as they travel to grow in their papers in the supposed utopia. Accepting these roles, however, may not be easy when faced with the dark and shocking truths of society and the imminent damage born to the New World.

    5. Friends discover that children with psychic skills who do not fit into society's standards are killed or turned into monsters.
    6. Shun is transformed into a monster and Saki and his friends are forced to kill him.
    7. Saki and his friends are sent on a mission to investigate an abandoned city, where they discover that humanity has been destroyed by a war between people with psychic skills.
    8. They discover that today's society was created by a group of people with psychic skills that survived the war and decided to control society to prevent history from repeating.

    What happens in the end?

    At the end of Shinsekai Yori's manga and light novel, Saki and Satoru can find the true identity of the Fiends leader and end the threat they represent. They also discover that the true history of humanity has been hidden from them and that they were created to be controlled by the Public Ethics and Moral Committee. Saki and Satoru decide to leave the city and explore the world beyond it as they try to find a way to change the oppressive system in which they live. The ending is open and leaves room for interpretation.
