Synopsis: The number of terrorist acts in Japan was never less, thanks to the efforts of a union called direct attack (DA). The organization creates orphaned girls as killers to perform murders under its "Lycoris" program. Takina Inoue is an exceptional lycoris, with a strong sense of purpose and a propensity to perfection. Unfortunately, a hostage situation tests its patience, and the resulting act of insubordination leads to its transfer outside. Not thrilled to lose the only place she belonged to, she reluctantly reaches her new base of operations - Lycoreco, a disguised coffee.

Takina's new partner, however, turns out to be quite different from what she imagined. Despite being the famous Lycoris prodigy, Chisato Nishikigi seems almost carefree with his duties. She drags Takina in all kinds of strange jobs under the simple explanation of helping needy people. Takina gets even more intrigued when Chisato knocks a group of armed attackers without killing any of them. Feeling like an out -of -water fish, takina itching to restore in DA -but Chisato is determined to prove to her that there is a life more than just leading them.
