Kino no Tabi: The Beautiful World
Synopsis: Kino, a 15 -year -old traveler, forms a bond with Hermes, a talking motorcycle. Together they roam the land and venture into various countries and places, although they have no clear idea of what to expect. After all, life is a journey full of the unknown.
Throughout their journeys, they find different types of customs, from morally gray to tragic and fascinating. They also know many people: some who live to work, others who live to make others happy and others who live to pursue their dreams. So in every country they visit, there is always something to learn from the way people perform their lives.
It is not up to Kino or Hermes to decide whether these stated values are wrong or right, as they only assume the roles of observers in this small world. They do not try to change or influence the places they visit, even though how absurd these values would appear. This is because, in one way or another, they believe things are doing well as they are, and "the world is not beautiful; so it is."
