Synopsis: Amidst a devastating rebellion led by Duke Rugis Camellia, the Kingdom of Hortensia plunges into chaos, with the royalty being decimated or disappearing. After the death of his brother, Knight Maurice Baudelaire escapes the carnage and hands Fernando's sword to young Alfred Ober, the son of the deceased, who faces his grief by remembering the promise he made: to become a knight and protect him. Under Maurice's guidance, Alfred trains intensely, alongside Marius Casterede, an enigmatic boy who hides more than he appears. Meanwhile, Pope Alexi Valdebron begins a search for the missing princess and crowns Charlot D'Hortensia as the new king.
