Chihayafuru

Synopsis: As a child, Chihaya Ayase had only one dream: seeing her older sister Chitose becoming the most successful model in Japan. However, by defending his oyster classmate Arata Wataya from his bully - Chihaya's childhood friend Taichi Mashima, she discovers the world of competitive karuta and soon fell in love with the sport.
Based on the anthology of Ogura Cem Poets, this card game, where poems are studied, requires excellent memory, agility and tremendous resistance from players. Full of hope, Chihaya joins the Shiranami society along with the newly coinciliated Arata and Taichi, embarking on an exciting journey to the title granted to the best-classified player-karuta question.
Since high school, Chihaya has been distant from a disappeared Taichi and separated from Arata. However, to improve his skills, Chihaya decides to create a karuta club at his school. With the help of Taichi, another veteran player and some spirits, the newly founder of Chihaya, Mizusawa Karuta Club, aims at victory in the National Sanctuary Championship omi.
