Tales of Zestiria the Cross

Synopsis: Celestial records speak of the existence of "Serafins", a race of divine beings who give blessings to humanity and receive prayers for them in return. Those who are anointed with the ability to interact with these spirits are known as "shepherds". Acclaimed as heroes for their ready appearances in times of crisis, besides being feared by their power, shepherds are printed on common folklore along with Serafins.

Sorey is a young human who spent her entire life living in harmony alongside the Serafins in Elysia village. Fascinated by the myths of the celestial records, he explores some nearby ruins with Mikleo - his childhood companion - trying to clarify himself about the history of Serafim with humanity.

Unfortunately, they get stuck in the depths of the historical site during their investigation. While looking for a way out, they come across a mysterious girl who desperately seeks help from a pastor to save the world, who is on the verge of being consumed by darkness. Despite Mikleo's warning to contact other humans, Sorey decides to help the stranger, which unknowingly takes him closer to the dream of peaceful coexistence between man and Serafim.
