Takahashi Rumiko Gekijou Ningyo no Mori

Synopsis: According to an old legend, mermaid meat can grant immortality if consumed. 500 years ago, Yuta unknowingly ate a piece of the mermaid flesh. For centuries, he travels through Japan, hoping to find a mermaid, thinking she can make him a normal human again. When he finally finds one, he finds out that she and his companions are creating a girl to be their food so they can eat it and face their young appearance. This is how the mermaids remain young. Yuta kills her mermaids and rescues her, but she has eaten part of the mermaid flesh. Although he had to kill the mermaids, Yuta is not very disappointed. Yuta's once lonely existence is over, as he found a mate in mana. And Mana, who was stuck in a small cabin throughout her life, finds pleasure to the simplest things. Together Yuta and Mana try to look for more mermaids, trying to become normal human again.
