Sakugan - Information

Synopsis: The "maze" is a large space in underground, where humans live in groups known as "colonies." Over the years, the surface has become a distant memory - even perhaps just a fantasy for those who have never experienced their wonders.

Making sure that humanity survives the harsh conditions of underground, citizens of a colony can assume a variety of specialized jobs. This includes "workers", which attach precious ore to feed the colonies and "markers" that travel to the surprisingly lush environment of the maze to bring back information that facilitates navigation. However, humanity also faces a threat to its existence - cultures called "Kaijuu", whose sizes vary from a small child to a huge building and are hostile to any human being who see. In addition, Kaijuu large enough can force the way to the colonies, further increasing its threat level.

Memenpu is a college graduate of nine years, whose inventions have greatly benefited workers in their local colony. Recently, however, she dreamed of a place with an endless ceiling, not tied by the rock. These aspirations feed their desire to become a marker and explore the vast unknown of the maze in search of such a fantastic place. Despite the vehement disagreement of his father Gagumber, a certain incident with Kaijuu jumps a dangerous but exciting adventure that will certainly change the course of humanity forever.
