Hakuouki: Hekketsuroku

Synopsis: After the conclusion of Hakuouki, Chizuru Yukimura and Shinsengumi are forced to flee Kyoto and leave for Edo. In the absence of Commander Isami Kondou, the deputy commander Toshizou Hijikata enters as an acting commander. However, Hijikata is not only struggling with the duties of extra leadership - who worry all around him - but also a newly uncontrollable prejudiced. To make matters worse, desire does not affect him alone, and is beginning to leave some of his crazy subordinates.

Finally, Kondou returns with emperor orders to defend the castle and a new name for his squad: Kouyou Chinbutai. But in war, the balance of power can suddenly change and loyalties can falter. In Hakuouki Hekketsuroku, Chizuru follows Shinsengumi in the heart of war and continues the search for his missing father, while the bond between her and Hijikata gets stronger and harder.

    At the end of Hakuouki: Hekketsuroku, the story continues from the point where the first season stopped. Shinsengumi is fighting Bakufu and Choshu, while also trying to protect the city of Kyoto. The protagonist, Yukimura Chizuru, discovers the truth about her lineage and her father, and also falls in love with one of Shinsengumi members. In the end, the battle is overcome, but many members of Shinsengumi die, including Chizuru's love. Chizuru decides to leave Kyoto and move on with his life, but still keeps the memory of Shinsengumi and his love.
