Gilgamesh

Synopsis: In an attempt to gather information about immortality, scientists from around the world have gathered to study "gate of heaven" - the tomb turned the mythical King Gilgamesh laboratory. But soon, the research is considered unethical and all planned work interrupts. However, a group of terrorists do not think and has thought and storm in the gate of heaven, causing an explosion that leads to the collapse of the civilization of advanced information.

Many years after the incident, brothers Tatsuya and Kiyoko Madoka are running away from bad guys. However, this seems to be the smallest of their concerns, as they are in the midst of a war between two powerful enigmatic factions. With both groups claiming to fight for the improvement of society, Tatsuya and Kiyoko will have to find a way to decide who to trust.

    Summary and events

    1. Enkidu is created to oppose Gilgamesh and protect the city of Uruk.
    2. Enkidu and Gilgamesh fight, but end up becoming friends.
    3. Gilgamesh and Enkidu decide to kill the Humbaba monster to gain fame and glory.
    4. They travel to the cedar forest and kill Humbaba.
    5. The goddess Ishtar falls in love with Gilgamesh, but he rejects her, which makes her furious.
    6. Ishtar asks his father to send the bull from heaven to destroy Uruk, but Gilgamesh and Enkidu kill him.
    7. The gods decide that Enkidu must die as punishment for killing the bull of heaven.

    At the end of the anime Gilgamesh, the main character, Tatsuya, discovers that her sister, Kiyoko, is actually the key to resolving the gilgamesh mystery. He also discovers that his mother, that he thought to be dead, is alive and is the leader of Gilgamesh. Tatsuya and her friends fight Gilgamesh to prevent them from destroying the world, and in the end, Tatsuya sacrifices her life to save the world and her sister.
