Synopsis: The ban on Mido and Amano Ginji are known as supporters, retrievers with a 100%success rate. Whatever is lost or stolen, they can definitely recover it. Despite their powerful skills and enthusiastic behavior, Ban and Ginji are broken in terms finished no matter what they do simply because few people really want to hire them. As a result, the two tend to make dangerous jobs, usually leading to unwanted reunions with their old (and dangerous) friends.

    1. Ginji Amano and Ban Mido form the duo GetBackers, who specializes in recovering lost or stolen objects.
    2. They are hired by a woman named Himiko Kudo to recover a bottle of rare perfume that was stolen.
    3. During the mission, they find a group of criminals named The Four Kings, which are also behind the perfume bottle.
    4. Ginji and Ban can recover the bottle, but find that it contains a dangerous substance that can cause an epidemic.
    5. They are hired by a secret organization called IL, which wants the bottle to prevent the substance from falling into the wrong hands.
    6. Ginji and Ban infiltrate a secret IL installation to deliver the bottle, but are betrayed by a member of the organization.
    7. They can escape with the help of Himiko and Four Kings leader Kazuki Fuuchouin.
    8. Ginji and Ban discover that IL is planning to use the substance to create super solidates and decide to prevent their plans.
    9. They face several powerful enemies, including an IL member named Makubex, who controls a giant tower that can destroy the city.
    10. Ginji and Ban manage to defeat Makubex and prevent Il from using the substance.
    11. In the end, they return to their work of recovering lost and stolen objects.
