Synopsis: In a dark scenario filled with hostile aliens, the student Masaru Katou finds himself in a life-or-death situation after being brutally murdered. Instead of finding the long-awaited peace after death, he awakens in a scary environment, where a mysterious black globe known as Gantz forces him to participate in a deadly game. Armed with a weapon and surrounded by other players, including the enigmatic idol Reika Shimohira and the veteran Jouichirou Nishi, Katou must confront his insecurities and fight for survival in a devastated city, while seeking a chance to return to his previous life and reunite with his younger brother.
