Fushigi Yuugi

Synopsis: During a visit to the National Library, Miaka Yuuki and Yui Hongo stumble into a strange old book that sheds a red light, sucking them within her unknown world. Upon arrival, the two hostile slave traders and barely escape the help of Tamahome - a powerful young man with a Chinese symbol on his forehead. But a moment later, the red light returns and takes Yui away.
Desperate to meet with his partner, Miaka asks Tamahome for help. However, the situation increases when the pair finds Earth Emperor, Hotohori, who believes Miaka is the predominant priestess of the kingdom protector, God Suzaku. In gathering the seven heavenly warriors of God, the priestess can summon Suzaku and have all their desires granted. Hotohori expects this to save her country and, as it seems to be a suitable solution to the girl's problems, he convinces her to accept the role.
Meanwhile, in the library, Yui realizes that it was brought back alone. Unable to intervene, she is helpless that Miaka traveled brave judgments like the heroine of the mysterious book.
