Synopsis: "Dokonjou Gaeru" is an anime that follows the story of Hiroshi, a junior high student who is transformed into a frog by a magic ring.     Dokonjou Gaeru, also known as The Gutsy Frog, is a comedy manga written by Yasumi Yoshizawa. At the end of the story, the protagonist Hiroshi finally seeks a way to get rid of his metamorph friend, Pyonkichi, who was turned into a frog due to an inadvertent touch on a frog statue. After many adventures, Hiroshi manages to find a new frog statue from the same witch who bewitched Pyonkichi, and uses a touch of his friend turned frog to return him to normal. However, Pyonkichi reveals that he has grown accustomed to being a frog and prefers to remain in that form. Thus, the story ends with Hiroshi visiting Pyonkichi from time to time in the park, where he now lives a peaceful life as a frog, and their adventures together continue. It is a happy and nostalgic ending that shows the lasting friendship between the two characters.
