Synopsis: The legend of the Divine Gate is a story told to young children who describe the fusion of the living world, the heavens and the underworld. "Adapters" - people born with unique elementary skills presented to them from the union of these worlds - formed the World Council, an organization that controls the gate chaos portraying their legend as nothing more than a myth. These adapters train at a special gym owned by the World Council that allows students to improve their skills.

Aoto, a teenager with exceptional water powers and a tragic past, rejects the offer of entering the gym several times - until he is successfully pressed by the energetic Midori Wind User and Fire Stic Akane user. Together, with the World Council and his mysterious leader Arthur, they seek the gate in the hope of discovering the truth. But to achieve their goals, they must unite and overcome their own despair as they deal with the scene's mischief.
