Synopsis: As a child, Yuu Kusaka made a vow on a shot star that he was on the side of the court and would defend the weak. However, the death of one of his friends steals -the desire to fulfill this vote, and he turns his eyes to the misery of others, using the mysterious power he has as a way to make money instead of helping those in to need. His days of life only continue, until he is forced to fight for his life against another classmate with powers similar to his. He is saved by a mysterious girl named Eimu Yoake, who also has strange powers.

Eimu reveals that his powers result from a creature known as Ayakashi, a parasitic being who gives the user's special skills to the price of slowly draining the host's life. She helps him completely awaken his. Now aware of the Ayakashi he owns, Yuu must live according to his childhood vote, placing his Ayakashi to use and ward off those who would use his to evil, all as he unraveling the mystery behind his friend's death.
