Nagato then creates an alternative reality called "Disappearance" where Haruhi does not have her powers and is a normal student. In the end, he confronts Nagato and decides to restore the original reality, risking their lives in the process. After restoring the original reality, Haruhi and her friends return to the world they knew, with all the unexplained events and powers of Haruhi intact.
