Synopsis: Nozomu Itoshiki is such a pessimistic high school teacher that even the smallest of misfortunes can lead him to a well of furious despair; Some of these "disasters" even lead to suicide attempts. Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei is a life -threatened life comedy set in modern days, covering various aspects of Japanese life and culture through Nozomu and their interactions with their students: Kiri Komori, a prisoner who refuses to leave school; Abiru Kobushi, a puzzle that often comes to class with serious and mysterious injuries; the hyper-ternetist Kafuuka Fuura, the opposite of Nozomu's polar; And several other unusual girls, all as eccentric as their teachers.
