Kuromukuro

Synopsis: During the dawn of the 21st century, the United Nations Research Institute was established in Japan to investigate an old artifact, which was discovered during the construction of the Kurobe dam. Scientists from around the world have gathered at the installation to study the object, while their children enjoy their daily lives that frequent the Monte International Senior High School.

Yukina Shirahane, a reserved high school girl, is the daughter of the main scientist of the installation. While visiting his mother at the installation, Yukina manages to solve part of the breach of artifact. To his surprise, what appears before her is the Kennosuke Tokisada Ouma, a young Samurai of the Sengoku era.

As a threat approaches the outer space, Yukina, along with Kennosuke, finds himself defending the earth against the invasive forces. Along the way, she discovers the mystery behind Kennosuke and the reason why he is determined to protect her.

    At the end of the anime Kuromukuro, Yukina and Kennosuke manage to defeat the main enemy, but Kennosuke ends up sacrificing themselves to save the earth. Yukina returns to her normal life, but still misses Kennosuke. However, she gets a message from him, indicating that he is still alive somewhere. The story ends with Yukina deciding to look for him.
