Koutetsujou no Kabaneri
Synopsis: The world is in the middle of the industrial revolution when horrible creatures emerge from a mysterious virus, tearing the flesh of humans to quench their endless appetite. The only way to kill these beings, known as "Kabane", is to destroy their hearts coated with steel. However, if bitten by one of these monsters, the victim is sentenced to a destination worse than death, for the fallen rise once again to join the ranks of their dead -kings.
Only fortified civilizations survived this turbulence, such as Hinomoto Island, where humanity has created a huge wall to protect itself from Kabane's numerous hordes. The only way to these giant fortresses is through strongly armed trains, which are served and built by young people as Ikoma. Having created a deadly weapon that he believes he will easily pierce Kabane's hearts, Ikoma eagerly awaits the day he can fight using his new invention. Little does he know, however, that his chance will arrive much earlier than he expected ...
