Synopsis: A force known as astral power permeates around the world, wielded by astral wizards. Fearing its destructive power, the "empire" pursues those who show their skills. The tormented wizards founded Nebulis' sovereignty to escape their oppressors. Since then, the two nations have been in bitter conflict, the war is still strong for over a century.
After committing the great crime of freeing a witch trapped, the talented Knight Iska is sentenced to prison. A year later, Empire's leadership suddenly decides to free it, on the condition that he hunts a fearsome wizard known as "ice calamity witch." Hoping to finish the war, Iska agrees. Coincidentally, the witch of the ice calamity herself "Alice" Lou Nebulis XI, also wants peace and is willing to do everything she can to overthrow the Empire.
Since Iska and Alice yearn for a crusade that will turn the world into one without struggle, affliction or pain, the ropes of fate tie them more and more, creating a bond that goes beyond something made by mere coincidence.
