Kemonozume

Synopsis: Creatures known as Shokujinki have lived secretly alongside humans for hundreds of years. Although they may seem human, Shokujinki is able to turn into uncontrollable beasts with gigantic claws and consume humans to survive. The equally secret Kifuken Dojo specializes in killing Shokujinki by cutting his arms and is the only force that prevents unconteed domination of Shokujinki.

Toshihiko Momota, son of the Kifuken leader, is instantly enchanted by a mysterious woman named Yuka Kamitsuki. Their relationship is complicated, however, because, without their knowledge, Yuka is a Shokujinki and Toshihiko swore it. Meanwhile, Kifuken is having a crisis of confidence, while Toshihiko's brother Kazuma pressures against tradition and tries to modernize Kifuken. As emotions are tense and the secrets of the past and present are revealed, who will live and who will be eaten?

    At the end of Kemonozume, Toshihiko and Yuka can meet and reconcile, but are persecuted by the Kifuken clan, who wants to exterminate all monsters. During the final battle, Toshihiko becomes a complete monster and fights his father, the clan leader. However, he is saved by Yuka, who sacrifices his life to protect him. Toshihiko then becomes the new Kifuken leader and works to find a way to coexist peacefully with the monsters. The anime ends with Toshihiko and his father reconciling himself and looking at the future together.
