El Hazard: The Wanderers

Synopsis: High School Sciences-Whiz Makoto Mizuhara is working on its newest project in preparation for the school festival, along with his best friend Nanami Jinnai. Nanami's brother and the rival throughout Makoto's life, the president of the unscrupulous student council Katsuhiko Jinnai, is under scrutiny for manipulating the planning of the school festival and is convinced that Makoto is planning to steal his position. One night, while Makoto and Nanami are taking a break from Professor Masamichi Fujisawa, Jinnai enters the science lab and sabotage Makoto's device, which suddenly opens a portal that opens them all in another world!

Upon arrival, Makoto is immediately attacked by a horde of giant insect monsters. As he fled them, he comes across Fujisawa and a girl named Rune Venus. After Fujisawa fights the monsters, a group of dignitaries arrives, looking for Rune, his princess. They inform Makoto and Fujisawa who are in a world named El-Hazard and take them back to the Rosharia Palace, his kingdom. Although his counselors suspect newborn, Rune decrees that they should be treated as guests and quickly befriends Makoto. Unknowingly that Nanami and Jinnai are also in this world, Makoto begins to work trying to discover a way back to Earth.
