Synopsis: Second Lieutenant Kei Ageemaki, the son of a famous general, hid his extreme fear of paranormal beings all his life. However, when he and two are transferred to live and work with Youkai in the affairs of the Spirits Ministry, he is brought face to face with his worst nightmare. Now, with the help of Fox Kushimatsu, he and his officers need to learn to work alongside Youkai Donomels - Zakuro, Susukihotaru, Hoozuki and Bonbori - to solve paranormal cases.

Situated in the middle of an alternative version of Japanese Westernization, Otome Youkai Zakuro explores the clashes and unions that can occur when the east meets west, the site finds foreigners and women find men. The unusual alliance of Youkai's maidens and human officers must learn to work together in a world that is changing around it.

Summary and events
