Katanagatari
Sinopsis: In an Edo era Japan, with a variety of sword fighting styles, Shichika Yasuri practices the highest: Kyotouryuu, a technique in which the user's own body is exercised as a blade. Kyotouryuu school's seventh chief school, Shichika, lives in silence in exile with her sister Nanami until one day - the very ambitious strategist who makes her life in her lives.
Togame blatantly asks Shichika to help in his mission to collect twelve unique swords known as "deviant blades" for the shogunate. Shichika accepts, interested in the girl herself, instead of petty politics, and thus comes out on a journey. On their way are the fierce drawers of these legendary weapons, as well as other hungry power entities that seek to prevent the goal of togame. To prevail against their enemies, the pair must become an unbreakable team as they advance in a path of uncertainty and risk.

- Shichika and Togame travel to the first island, where they face swordsman Maniwa Koumori and get the first sword, the devouring one thousand souls.
- They go to the second island, where they face the Hitei swordsman and get the second sword, the golden sword.
- In the third island, they face swordsman Nanami Yasuri, Shichika's older brother, who tries to prevent them from continuing the search for swords. Shichika defeats Nanami and gets the third sword, the sword of the wind.
- On the fourth island, they face swordsman Uneri Ginkaku and get the fourth sword, the lightning sword.
- On the fifth island, they face swordsman Meisai Tsuruga and get the fifth sword, the sword of justice.
- On the sixth island, they face the swordsman emonzaemon Sōda and get the sixth sword, the sword of fire.
- In the seventh island, they face the swordsman Shikizaki Kiki, creator of the twelve swords, which reveals that Togame plans to use the swords to overthrow the government. Shichika decides to continue the search for swords despite the betrayal of Togame.
