Shinzo Abe: Discover the legacy left by the prime minister

Last week, the world was shocked by the death of Shinzo Abe, the prime minister of Japan who was shot to death in one of the countries with the lowest homicide rate and lowest gun ownership in the world.

Japan is a great world power and it is a country that serves as an inspiration to others who want a production and influence as great as it, and its politics are also much admired and commented around the world.

In addition to having companies from the most diverse segments, Japan has become a huge power in the production and export of products to other countries.

The country's politics is also a much talked about subject around the world, as many admire the way the country is governed and all the deeds that have been carried out to avoid major problems.

The country has a population of more than 125 million inhabitants, and in 2021 there was only one death by firearm in the entire territory, a great surprise and evolution if compared to countries like the United States and Brazil itself.

This happened precisely because the country has a very rigorous and thorough process when it comes to carrying a weapon. Anyone who thinks that it is possible to buy a revolver anywhere and without any objections is wrong.

Even one who works as a security guard in a business needs to pass a series of tests, exams and tests that allow him to use the weapon for work or personal security.

However, to the great surprise of the population, the prime minister, who was very popular throughout the country, was killed in the middle of his public speeches with two shots in the chest.

The crime shocked the whole country and the world precisely because it was through gunshots, as everyone knows very well how difficult it is to kill by gunshots at close range inside the country.

The Japanese population was completely destroyed after the tragedy, because the minister in question was very dear to the majority of the inhabitants and had performed great deeds by the population during his time in office.

Japan's politics - how does the government work?

Understand the case of the prime minister

It was Friday, July 2022, and Shinzo Abe, Prime Minister of Japan, was on his way to an election rally organized by his party near a train station in the Nara region of western Japan.

On Sunday, the 10th, elections for the Senate would take place and the prime minister was just taking advantage of the last days before the event to propagate his proposals and ask for the vote of the population.

Around 11:30 am in Japan, around 11:30 pm here in Brazil, Shinzo Abe he was on a kind of stage set up by the crew talking to the audience that was there, when a man approached him from behind.

However, the man in question fired two shots, scaring everyone present, and that's when the prime minister fell and began to notice bloodstains on his white shirt.

Shinzo Abe was rushed to the nearest hospital in the area and was admitted to the emergency room with a cardiac arrest. The two shots hit the 67-year-old man in the neck region.

Despite trying everything and counting on the help and support of several professionals, the death of the prime minister was confirmed at 5:03 pm, in the early morning of July 9th here in Brazil.

His death caused the entire country and even the nation's partners to stop in respect of Japan's mourning, from an office of business accounting advice even schools stopped to honor and mourn Shinzo Abe's death.

The identity of the killer was not released by the press, but the man who fired the shots was arrested as soon as he committed the crime and was taken to the city police station to testify about the case.

Until then, it was believed that the weapon used had been a shotgun, but after learning it, the police found that it was a homemade weapon, that is, the man himself had created it to kill the Prime Minister.

The perpetrator of the crime said that there was no personal motivation for it and that he did not even harbor hatred for the politician. He presented no plausible reason for having carried out that very expressed crime in broad daylight and in front of thousands of people.

It is believed that the man may have been hired by another party or politician that rivals Shinzo Abe, who knew of his approval and affection among the population, and planned the attack on the eve of the election precisely to prevent his possible victory.

Thus, the crime shocked the country precisely because it is a place that values the safety of the entire population and prevents sales and possession of firearms from being released in such a simple way as in other countries.

The case is still being investigated by the country's police and several other countries allied with Japan have offered their solidarity to the nation and their indignation with this case that has brought much sadness and anger to the entire population.
