Have you heard of the Anti-Otaku Law?

Do you know the anti-otaku law? The anti-otaku law, or law 156, is a law that aims to protect and promote the healthy development of young people, as such prohibits any content that may “harm” their correct development.

The bill was promoted by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and passed in committee. This law has existed since 2011, but today we are going to deal with this very peculiar topic for you that you still don't know, even if it doesn't affect you.

What is the Anti-Otaku Law?

The anti-otaku law can be classified as judging what is pure and what is not pure, so much so that they do not differ from the indicative classification of anime, even harming the target audience of certain content, and anime and manga considered impure will have their labels with the +18 stripe.

It is even impossible to find banned anime and manga via the internet, as expected. This law has several flaws, like any other, but in any case this is harmful to Otakus.

The law only applies to Tokyo, but the biggest publishers and producers are there, currently the law does not harm us otakus much for the variety of anime, but it has already made several targets in the Anime world. The biggest mistake in the law is without a doubt the limitation that mangakas will have in their works.

Anime and Mangas that were harmed by law 156

I will only mention 3 sleeves, but know that the numbers are much higher.

Aki Sora: This is a manga that could not be missing from this list, after all, the manga contains erotic content, incest, sex at school, among others.

Imouto Paradise 2: Logically it would be here, because it contains incest and because it is a hentai that was disguised in the form of Ecchi.

Mujaki no Rakuen: If it's on this list it's because it's not decent.

Anime that ran away from the law 156

Yosuga no Sora: The story is about student Kasugano Haruka who was orphaned along with his twin sister Kasugano Sora who lost their parents in a car accident. Due to the tragedy, the two returned to the country town called Okukosome and now live in the old house where their father worked as a doctor.

Arguments given by the committee for not banning Yosuga no sora: The council came to the conclusion that the anime does not violate the law, as it does not present incest as socially acceptable and its representation in the anime is not done excessively.

My argument for non-ban: The anime presents several routes, as well as the Visual Novel, where every 3 or 4 episodes the character Haru is with a different girl and the last of the routes is that of the twin sister Sora and another appropriate place is that incest is considered immoral in the anime itself.
