The 25 best fantasy, magic, powers and Isekai anime

Hello everyone, everything good? As you've seen in the title of the article, today we'll talk about fantasy anime that comes out of reality through dreams and imagination. Anime that take place in other worlds, Anime with magic, aliens, elves, ogres, etc. Fairy tales of those we imagine when we are in the best dreams.

To classify all these anime we call anime of the fantasy genre. To make the most of this guide, we recommend getting to know the My Anime List, a complete database with all the anime ever released on the face of the earth and all the information about them. Returning to the article, let's leave a summary to facilitate navigation:

You might want to read our article on Isekai anime where protagonists end up in a parallel world. They are usually anime with a lot of powers and magic. They fit in as a sub-genre of fantasy anime.

Índice de Conteúdo

Powerful protagonists with surreal powers

To start off well, anime that aren't boring at all and only protagonists who like fights and always get into fights. If it was a combination I would say it would be combined with the shounen genre, the one that is geared towards teenage boys.

Well, unfortunately or fortunately, I can't give away spoilers here. Which is a shame because every now and then it's good to give an incentive to keep watching, this happens to me with those anime that have a lot of clichés and are very predictable. But that still doesn't take the fun out of a good synopsis, so here goes.

Fairy tail - A world of Magic

In the mystical land of Fiore, magic exists as an essential part of everyday life. Countless magical guilds are at the center of all magical activities, and serve as places for like-minded mages to band together and accept job applications. Among them, Fairy Tail stands out from the rest as a place of strength, spirit and family.

Lucy Heartfilia is a young mage looking for keys to heavenly gates, and her dream is to become a full-fledged wizard by joining this famous guild. On her quest, she encounters Natsu Dragneel and his partner Happy, who are on a quest to find Natsu's adoptive father, the dragon Igneel.

The best fantasy anime - magic, powers and isekai

My opinion on Fairy Tail

This is without a doubt one of the best anime I've ever watched. The only lack he has is the lack of seriousness and tension around the theme of death. Yes, characters never die no matter how injured they are and, in my opinion, even if they took the protagonist's heart it wouldn't affect anything.

This means that the main characters and even the secondary ones NEVER DIE. I don't understand why this is, but it looks like it has something to do with a previous work by the fairy tail creator. I don't know the details and it doesn't matter for this article. Let's continue on the list. My grade is 8!

Ao no exorcist - The blue exorcist

Ao no Exorcist follows Rin Okumura, who appears to be an ordinary, troubled teenager - until one day he is ambushed by demons. His world is turned upside down when he discovers that he is in fact Satan's own son and that his demon father wants him to return so they can conquer Assiah together.

Not wanting to join the king of Gehenna, Rin decides to start training to become an exorcist so he can fight to defend Assiah alongside his brother Yukio. For this he chooses to enter a specialized school to train exorcists. And in this school, your brother is the one who will be your teacher.

The best fantasy anime - magic, powers and isekai

My opinion on Ao no exorcist

An anime that was very popular in the year of its release and to this day the public is clamoring for its next season, I am one of those. The protagonist has incredible power, but his demon nature prevails in some aspects of his personality, which made it difficult for him to create and adapt to the world.

But since he was raised by an exorcist priest, these problems didn't interfere as much as they could. This anime has some flaws like that cliché of the protagonist always taking power from some kind of emergency fund. Which in my opinion is very annoying, but overall this is an anime that is exciting to watch. My grade is 8!

The article is still halfway through, but we recommend also reading:

Danmachi - Dungeon ni deai

Life in the bustling city of Orario is never dull, especially for Bell Cranel, a naive young man hoping to become the greatest adventurer on earth. After a chance encounter with the lonely goddess, Hestia, his dreams become a little closer to reality.

With her support, Bell embarks on a fantastical quest as he ventures deep into the city's monster-filled catacombs, known only as "The Dungeon." Death lurks around every corner in the cavernous depths of this terrifying labyrinth, and a mysterious power moves among the shadows.

The best fantasy anime - magic, powers and isekai

My opinion on Dungeon ni Deai

As one of the top 10 best anime of all time, I couldn't leave it out. With the protagonist having an ability that makes him "grow up fast", this is without a doubt the most unique power I've ever seen in anime. And even if they say it's an absurd power and that it makes everything boring, I think it's much better for the progress to be explained somehow.

Even though this form is absurd, I think it's much better than those anime that don't explain where that power and progress comes from. But unfortunately we have a defect that is the great evil of almost all anime, the protagonist is extremely slow when it comes to women. my grade is 9

Nantzu no taizai - 7 deadly sins

In a world similar to the European Middle Ages, the feared and respected Holy Knights of Britannia use immensely powerful magic to protect the region of Britannia and its kingdoms.

However, a small subset of the Knights allegedly betrayed their homeland and turned their blades on their comrades in an attempt to overthrow the ruler of the Lions.

They were defeated by the Holy Knights, but rumors continued to persist that these legendary knights, called the "Seven Deadly Sins", were still alive. Ten years later, the Holy Knights themselves staged a coup d'état, and thus became the tyrannical new rulers of the Kingdom of Lions.

The best fantasy anime - isekai, magic, powers

My opinion about Nanatsu no Taizai

If this one were left out of this list I don't even know if it would be acceptable. As one of the most anticipated and acclaimed anime by the public, Nanatzu is undoubtedly one of the most recommended anime when the story is powerful protagonist, magic, fights and demons.

For those who haven't watched it, I advise you to put this one at the top of the list. I particularly love the love story between the ban's character and Elaine, but there are several other aspects of romance in the story. Its faults are few but what bothers the most are some perverted habits that don't suit the protagonist. my grade is 8

Fullmetal Alchemist - Brotherhood

Alchemist Edward Elric, a brilliant young alchemist, has lost a lot in his twelve years of life: when he and his brother Alphonse try to resurrect their dead mother through the forbidden act of human transmutation, Edward loses his brother as well as two of his limbs. With his ultimate alchemy skills, Edward binds Alphonse's soul to great armor.

A year later, Edward, now promoted to state alchemist, embarks on a journey with his younger brother to obtain the Philosopher's Stone. Rumor has it that the legendary mythical object is capable of amplifying an alchemist's abilities by leaps and bounds, thus allowing them to nullify the fundamental law of alchemy: to gain something, an alchemist must sacrifice something of equal value.

The best fantasy anime - isekai, magic, powers

My opinion on Fullmetal Alchemist

I don't need praise for this anime, because as they say "fame precedes you". Few anime can be compared to this one in terms of audience ratings. To give you an idea, Naruto can't surpass the ratings and audience that FMA has in MAL.

Of course, Naruto is much more influential in the media and other sectors, but if we are going to base it on the raw criteria of the MAL website, this is without a doubt the best anime of all time. For it is in first place both in rating and in popularity. My grade is 10.

Anime to make you feel good about life

For those who are in that depression and don't feel like putting a foot out of bed, these are those anime that make you happy and bouncy logos in the first episodes. I've already tested it and I can certify that they work very well, even if the depression is huge.

They may not be the best for this purpose, as I had to merge and select only those that involved fantasy in the plot, but here's a tip for a future list especially for people who are in that loneliness and depression. But now let's get to the best I have to offer on this topic.

Discover the top 25 fantasy anime that will transport you to worlds of magic and incredible powers! Including Isekai hits, our list is perfect for avid fans and newcomers alike. Dive now into epic adventures!

Striking fear in the hearts of mortals, the Demon Lord Satan begins to conquer the land of Ente Isla with his vast demonic armies. However, his efforts are thwarted by the hero Emilia, forcing Maou to make his quick retreat through a dimensional portal only to land in the human world.

Powerless in a world without magic, Satan takes the guise of a human named Sadao Maou and starts working at a local fast food restaurant to survive. He soon realizes that his goal of conquering Ente Isla is not enough, as he is determined to climb the corporate ladder and become the ruler of Earth, one satisfied customer at a time!

The best fantasy anime - magic, powers and isekai

My opinion about Hataraku Maou Sama

When it comes to making you feel good about life, this is one of the best at this mission. Well, it is common to see the main characters going to a world of magic and fantasy and becoming legends there, but what do you think happens when a Maou from another world comes to the human world? Initially, I thought he would dominate the world and provoke several wars and things like that, but...

My idea was totally wrong and I didn't even get the most basic aspect right, which was to guess what he's going to do once he gets here. Unfortunately I guessed that they would use the remnants of their powers to make money and I didn't even get that right. In short, leave your glass empty and prepare your stomach so it doesn't hurt from laughing so hard. my grade is 9

Konosuba - An Isekai of Comedy

After dying a laughable and pathetic death on his way back from buying a game, high school student and recluse Kazuma Satou finds himself sitting before a beautiful but obnoxious goddess named Aqua. He then wins the chance to be reincarnated in a fantasy world.

But before he leaves, he can choose a item of any kind to help him on his quest, and the future hero chooses Aqua. But Kazuma made a serious mistake – Aqua is completely useless! It turns out that living in such a world is very different from how it happens in a game. Instead of going on an exciting adventure, the duo must first work to pay their living expenses. In fact, your misfortunes are just beginning.

The best fantasy anime - magic, powers and isekai

My opinion about Konosuba

The crucial tip in this Anime is to never try to guess anything about its plot. Don't expect the protagonist to save the girls, don't expect the girls to always support the protagonist, don't expect them to become powerful, don't expect them to act like they're normal, don't expect the protagonist to be a gentleman .

The only thing you can expect is the worst case scenario, that you can always expect. But worst of all is how they manage to get into trouble without even trying. I can't understand what the idea that crossed the author's head was, but it worked very well if the objective was to cause laughter. my grade is 10

Amagi brilliant Park

Kanie Seiya, an intelligent and extremely narcissistic high school student, believes that the beautiful but reserved Sento Isuzu has invited him on a date at an amusement park called Amagi Brilliant Park. Much to his disappointment, the location isn't just a rundown facility, the alleged date is merely a recruiting tour where Sento and Princess Latifa Fleuranza, the theme park's owner, ask him to become the park's new manager.

Your cause for despair? As stipulated in a land use contract, Amagi has less than three months to meet a quota of 500,000 guests, or the park will be permanently closed and the land will be redeveloped by a greedy real estate company...

The best fantasy anime - magic, powers and isekai

My opinion on Amagi Brilliant Park

Well, the question that remains in this synopsis is “does he accept?”. I can't give spoilers as this is an early part of the plot, and it's important because the decision affects all park staff. These employees are by no means common and are also responsible for much of the anime's funny scenes.

Despite being very egocentric and narcissistic, the protagonist has his hours of weaknesses and is always willing to attract more fame for himself. Of course, there is a thread of romance in the anime, but I don't know if the story continues in the original work and how the romance ends. But overall it's an anime that makes you happy and excited. my grade is 8

Kobayashi san maid dragon

When Kobayashi leaves for another day at work, she opens the apartment door to be greeted by an extraordinarily frightening sight – the head of a dragon, staring at her from across the balcony. The dragon immediately transforms into a beautiful, busty, and energetic young girl dressed in a maid outfit, introducing herself as Tooru.

Despite being extremely efficient at her job, the maid's unorthodox methods of housekeeping often end up terrifying Kobayashi and sometimes cause more trouble than help. To top it off, Tooru's presence ends up attracting several other mythical beings to his new home, bringing a series of eccentric personalities.

The best fantasy anime - magic, powers and isekai

My opinion on Kobayashi-San Maid Dragon

To finish this anime that was a great success in 2017. With the design and personality of the characters, and also some aspects that focus mainly on ecchi. It captivated the audience and emerged as one of the best and most popular anime of the year.

I personally haven't watched it yet and don't even ask me why I don't even know. But I can say that a good story and charismatic characters are not lacking in anime. I'm saying because I've watched a few episodes of it, but I haven't completed it. my grade is 8

Druaga no Tou - Torre de Druaga

It is said that every few years there is what is known as the “Summer of Anu”. During that summer, thanks to the divine protection of the sky god Anu, all the demons in the tower lost their power. The country of Uruk began an invasion of the tower in order to suppress the demons.

They built positions within the tower, with their eyes set on reaching the upper levels. The army of Uruk knows that this is the third Summer of Anu - a perfect time to launch a quest to suppress the monster Druaga once and for all.

The army soldiers aren't the only ones in the tower, however. An enitre city called Meskia formed within the tower's first floor. It is home to not only soldiers, but also adventurers who have heard rumors about a legendary treasure called the Blue Crystal Rod, which is said to rest on top of the tower.

The best fantasy anime - magic, powers and isekai

My opinion on Druaga no Tou

Synopsis doesn't talk about the characters, that's because it's not an anime that can be said to be "serious", I'd say it's a satire or parody. The theme for this parody is exactly the fantasy genre and aspects such as dungeons, guilds, expeditions, powers and especially powerful protagonists without explanations.

In this one, the protagonist is extremely stupid and powerful, in my theory I think his cleverness and intelligence were exchanged for strength in combat. I'm pretty sure they wanted to show how absurd the cliché can become. Too bad it's not very popular, because not everyone shares this opinion. my grade is 8

Otherworldly love story

As I couldn't miss this topic, I'll put only the best ones in my opinion. But unfortunately I don't have many copies on my list, so I don't know if it will satisfy those more demanding people, but I can say that it's a good list.

But after all, who doesn't love romance? The anime that I give a 10, most have a well-developed romance and the plot doesn't ask when it comes to romance. And here are the best ones I know when romance meets fantasy.

But as I've said before, there are exceptions and different tastes that vary from person to person and so I can't say that all readers will agree with my list, but it's worth a look.

Kyokai no kanata

Kanata Mirai Kuriyama is the sole survivor of a clan of spirit world warriors with the power to employ their blood as weapons. As such, Mirai is tasked with hunting and killing "youmu" - creatures said to be the manifestation of negative human emotions.

One day, while thinking on the school roof, Mirai comes across Akihito Kanbara, a rare youmu half-breed in human form. In a panicked state, she plunges her bloodsaber into him only to realize he is an immortal being.

From there, the two form an impromptu friendship that revolves around Mirai constantly trying to kill Akihito, in an effort to boost her own faltering confidence as a Spirit World warrior.

However, as the bond strengthens, so does the tenacity of the youmu around him. Their misadventures will soon turn into a fight for survival, as the inevitable release of the mightiest youmu, Beyond the Boundary, draws near.

The best fantasy anime - magic, powers and isekai

My opinion

It's crying. That's what I can certainly say about this anime, because its story deeply involves the audience and then something happens that everyone hates. Of course I won't tell you what it is because it's a big spoiler, but I can say that the romance is very deep.

I honestly didn't find other anime that made me so angry at the end, of course akame Ga Kill is there to be the one I was most angry about the ending, but apart from the last one I can say that Kyoukai is in second place. But that doesn't take away from the shine that the story has and that intensifies as it goes along. my grade is 9

Zero no tsukaima

Louise Françoise Le Blanc de La Vallière is a mage in a world of wands, cloaks and royalty. Although she studies at Tristain Academy, a prestigious school for magicians, she has one big problem: Louise is unable to cast the spell correctly, earning her the nickname "Louise the Zero" from her fellow responders.

When the first year students are forced to perform a summoning ritual, Louise's summoning results in a catastrophic explosion! Everyone considers this to be another failure, but when the smoke clears, a boy named Saito Hiraga appears.

Now Louise is familiar, Saito is treated like a slave, forced to clean his clothes and eat from the floor. But when an unknown mark is found engraved on Saito's hand from the summoning ritual, it is believed to be the mark of a powerful familiar named Gandalfr.

The best fantasy anime - magic, powers and isekai

My opinion on Zero no Tsukaima

It seems like a simple and "beat" synopsis that everyone is tired of seeing similar in several other anime and it's not even worth taking a look at this one. I advise you not to be deceived by appearances and do not judge a book by its cover.

This is an anime that was so successful that even with the death of its author and consequently the stoppage of its original work, the public had so much influence that the studio had to improvise a final season to not leave the work incomplete and thus satisfy a little. the public. And yes, this anime is all that, at least in my opinion, it's thousands or even millions of people in the world. my grade is 10

Rakudai kishi

There are few humans in this world with the ability to manipulate their souls to form powerful weapons. Called “Blazers”, these people study and train at the prestigious Hagun Academy to become Mage-Knights; among the students is the so-called failure Ikki Kurogane, the only F-rated Blazer.

However, when the academy's worst student sees Stella Vermillion, an A-rated Blazer who is also a princess, naked, she challenges him to a high-stakes duel - the loser becomes the winner's slave. May Stella lose, but don't judge first and regret later.

The best fantasy anime - magic, powers and isekai

My opinion about Rakudai Kishi

How not to like this anime? Powerful protagonist but without being abusive, charismatic characters, great soundtrack, great animation, the couple doesn't wind up the relationship, fantastic fights, many special effects and several other requirements that an anime needs to be perfect.

This is that anime that is no use commenting because you will never even come close to describing how good it is. But just watching the first episode, you already have a good idea of how good this anime is, but of course it doesn't compare to using the 3 episode rule. My grade is 10 (and a round of applause to complete)

Akatsuki no yona

Princess Yona lives a life of luxury and tranquility, completely shielded from the troubles of the seemingly peaceful Kingdom of Kouka; however, the sudden murder of the king and the betrayal of her beloved cousin Su-won put Yona's life in mortal danger. Forced to flee with only Son Hak, who is her childhood friend and bodyguard, the naive princess soon discovers that Kouka is not the idyllic place she imagined it to be.

Poverty, strife, and corruption run solidly, making reclaiming the throne nothing more than a wishful fantasy given the current state of the realm. With only a mysterious legend to guide her, Yona must figure out a way to restore Kouka to her former glory as she is relentlessly pursued by the forces of Kouka's new king.

The best fantasy anime - magic, powers and isekai

My opinion on Akatsuki no Yona

Another anime that breaks many clichés. And it's quite interesting when someone has to lower themselves, but it gets more interesting when a princess is put in that situation. Of course, she will have help, but she is the only one who has to restore and get her old post.

Romance will not be lacking, and the same can be said for drama and action, as the synopsis already gives us a twinge of curiosity and imagine watching the anime. Lucky for the princess that some things don't get lost like her position. And this will help a lot on her journey. my grade is 7

Mahoutsukai no yome

Chise Hatori, a 15-year-old Japanese girl, was sold for five million pounds at auction to a tall masked gentleman. Abandoned at a young age and mocked by her peers for her unconventional behavior, she was ready to give herself to any buyer if it meant having a place to go home.

In chains and on her way to an unknown destination, she hears whispers of clothed men along her way, gossiping and complaining that such a buyer has gotten his hands on a rare "Sleigh Beggy".

Ignoring the murmurs, the mysterious man takes the girl to an office, where he reveals himself to be Elias Ainsworth - a wizard. After a brief confrontation and some teleportation magic, the two open their eyes to Elias' quaint cabin in rural England. These events mark the beginning of Chise's story as an apprentice and supposed bride to the former mage.

The best fantasy anime - magic, powers and isekai

My opinion on Mahou Tsukai Yome

And to close this topic with a flourish, a very recent anime. And just as it is very recent, it is also well praised and its fame has traveled the world and conquered a large number of fans. But unfortunately I couldn't help but curse the fact that the protagonist continued to have a goat's head.

Well, maybe that's why it was so successful, after all, it's not every day that we can see such a different protagonist. But that's not all, its animation and stories are extraordinary compared to other anime, I was particularly impressed with how beautiful the graphics turned out. my grade is 9

Fantasy anime with romantic stories

Fantasy Anime - A dash of seriousness

As not everything is flowers and so sometimes we need to play a more serious role, we also need to watch something a little more intense and exciting for us to get out of that comfort zone and for this reason this topic was made.

To take away your pillow and blanket and throw you into a story that inflicts you with a lot of seriousness and makes you reflect on your life, your actions, your behaviors and even your very existence. So let's get to the list.

Re:zero Kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu

However, Subaru immediately awakens to a familiar scene – confronted by the same group of thugs, encountering Satella again – the enigma deepens as history inexplicably repeats itself.

The best fantasy anime - isekai, magic, powers

My opinion on Re:Zero

Considered one of the best Anime of 2016, this anime is undoubtedly an opinion divider. Some think it didn't have a good outcome and development, while others think it was the perfect anime and that the opposite opinion comes from those who can't let go and get out of their comfort zone.

I'm reluctantly in the latter group, for some aspects that have been put too explicitly this one is not in a higher ranking. But it doesn't stay out of this list, because it still makes one of the best anime that you can find so far. But no, I don't advise it for those who have a weak stomach and give up things easily. my grade is 9

Mushishi

"Mushi": the most basic forms of life in the world. They exist without any goals or purposes other than simply "being". They are beyond the shackles of the words "good" and "evil". Mushi can exist in myriad forms and are capable of mimicking things in the natural world such as plants, diseases, and even phenomena like rainbows.

This is, however, only a vague definition of these entities that inhabit the vibrant world of Mushishi, as even calling them a life form would be an oversimplification. Detailed information about Mushi is scarce because most humans are unaware of its existence.

The best fantasy anime - magic, powers and isekai

My opinion about Mushishi

Well, you won't find much action in this anime, or rather, you won't find almost any action. Basically it will have a lot of drama and psychological plots, the latter I guarantee that it will be presented in abundance, which in my opinion is a requirement to increase the grade.

I can't comment much as I don't know how to do this. This anime is extremely intriguing and when you delve into the curiosity about this plot, it is not easy to get rid of the obsession that is created, I really liked this anime and I recommend it to people who like more psychological stories.

Made in Abyss

Abyss The Abyss – a gaping abyss that stretches deep into the earth, filled with mysterious creatures and relics of a long time past. Countless brave individuals known as Divers have attempted to solve the mysteries of the Abyss, fearlessly descending into its darkest realms.

The best and bravest of divers, the white whistles, are hailed as legends by those who remain on the surface. Riko, daughter of the missing white whistle Lyza the Annihilator, aspires to become like her mother and explore the furthest reaches of the Abyss. However, just a rookie Red Whistle, she is only allowed to roam her highest tier.

Even so, Riko has a chance encounter with a mysterious robot with the appearance of an ordinary boy. Certain that the technology to create Reg must come from within the Abyss, the two decide to venture into the Abyss to regain their memories and see rock bottom with their own eyes.

The best fantasy anime - magic, powers and isekai

My opinion on Made in Abyss

Despite its characters being drawn with a very childish trait, the anime doesn't fit for that age, and even some older people still have their stomachs turned over by many of the tension parts this anime causes.

It's tension from the beginning, but I recommend using the 3-episode rule in this anime because it has some intro parts for secondary characters and other important preparations that every anime needs. But then it's just tension and overwhelming psychological pressure. Anime gold that I don't recommend for those with a weak stomach My grade is 9

Kekkai sensen

Supersonic apes, vampires, talking fishmen and all sorts of different supernatural monsters that live alongside humans – this has been a part of everyday life in Hellsalem's Lot, formerly known as New York, for some time now. When a portal between Earth and the beyond opened three years ago, New Yorkers and creatures from the other dimension were trapped in an impenetrable bubble and forced to live together.

Pursuing photography as a hobby, Leonardo Watch is living a normal life with his parents and sister. But when he obtains the "All-Seeing Eyes of the Gods" at the expense of his sister's vision, he goes to Helsalem's Lot to help her, finding answers about the mysterious powers he has been given.

The best fantasy anime - magic, powers and isekai

My opinion on Kekkai Sensen

Plot too banal, and basically too rushed and couldn't take the time to properly introduce each new character. This resulted in new characters jumping in from all over the place and taking important positions in the plot, most of which had no information to make their presentation.

This is a serious problem that resulted in a big drop in the ranking, unfortunately it was very rushed, but its plot and characters are excellent, and if it was done correctly it would be in a much higher position in MAL's ranking. But it is still an anime that excites you and involves you with its plot. my grade is 7

Violet Evergarden

The Great War finally came to an end after four long years of conflict; fractured in two, the continent of Telesis slowly began to flourish once more. Caught in the bloodbath was Violet Evergarden, a young woman created for the sole purpose of decimating enemy lines.

Hospitalized and maimed in a bloody skirmish during the final leg of the War, she was left with only words from the person she loved most, but without understanding their meaning. Recovering from her wounds, Violet starts a new life working at CH Postal Services after a falling out with her new family of guardians.

The best fantasy anime - isekai, magic, powers

My opinion on Violet Evergarden

When it comes to being serious and life lessons, I don't think there's a better example than this story. Great candidate for the best anime of 2018, we have the story that moved thousands of people, for its story of overcoming it is its great drama.

And drama is the word that defines this anime, basically they are two great dramas. The first is to understand the feelings that she doesn't know what they mean; and the second is to find a way to live your life for yourself and be happy for yourself. These are the goals that Violet, our protagonist, has to achieve in this anime. And I recommend this anime a thousand times for any kind of audience. my grade is 10

Other serious fantasy anime

  • Akame ga kill
  • Shakugan no Shana
  • Natsume Yuujinchou
  • Drifters
  • Attack on Titan

Harem fantasy anime - One man, Multiple women

To end our list with a flourish, the best combination there is. In my opinion it's always interesting to have a harem in anime, but when anime has fantasy it's almost mandatory to have a harem.

That's in my opinion, but harem is one of the best genres out there, but it doesn't help much since the protagonists don't have the attitude for it, and overwhelmingly the protagonist is a defenseless coward when it comes to serious romance. I sincerely hope for an anime with more anime like Rakudai kishi.

Trinity seven

One day, the bright red sun stopped shining, causing the “Breakthrough Phenomenon” – the destruction of the city of Arata Kasuga and the disappearance of the people who inhabit it. All, however, is not yet lost; using the magical grimoire given to him by his childhood friend and cousin Hijiri Kasuga, Arata's world is artificially reconstructed.

To investigate the phenomenon, Lilith Asami appears before Arata, whose artificial world suddenly disintegrates. He is given two choices: hand over the book or die. However, Arata chooses the third option: enrolling in the secret school of magic Royal Biblia Academy, where six other magic users await him. Together with Lilith, these six form the Trinity Seven, the school's elite who each reinforce their own power and skill.

The best fantasy anime - magic, powers and isekai

My opinion on Trinity Seven

Yes, as I couldn't miss in this topic the anime that fits properly in 85% of the requirements I have, to be considered a perfect anime. Our protagonist is one of the guys with the most attitude in the anime universe. But because there are no results he won't win 10.

But for those who like a marrento protagonist and totally out of the ordinary, this is the anime that I nominate the most. Unfortunately there is a cliché that loves to appear in the plot that is the protagonist I managed to power for no concrete reason. It has its explanations but they don't convince me, it's just that it's the best anime I have in this topic. my grade is 9

Portão

From this portal, supernatural creatures and warriors clad in medieval armor emerge, attacking the city, killing and destroying everything in their path. With swift action, Youji saves as many lives as he can while the rest of the JSDF directs their efforts to stop the invasion.

Three months after the attack, Youji was tasked with leading a special reconnaissance team, as part of a JSDF task force, which will be sent to the world beyond the gate – now being called the “Special Region”.

They must travel to this unknown world in order to learn more about what they are dealing with and try to befriend the locals in hopes of forging peaceful ties with the ruling empire. But if they fail, they face the consequence of participating in a devastating war that will engulf both sides of the gate.

My opinion about Gate

This synopsis is very complete and in itself already makes a great advertisement for the anime, but things like the anime having the most charismatic character of all anime, in my opinion, has not been written. It's not an exaggeration, I consider the gothic loli that is in this Anime as the most charming and with the best personality of all anime.

Well, leaving aside my opinion, the anime has some errors which is the lack of reason for the portal to appear, I believe the light novel explains it but I still haven't found this part. Another big mistake is the fact that even though the protagonist is a great otaku, not letting his whims take over his body is taking advantage of girls. This is my wish but it's not mandatory (lol). my grade is 9

Strike the blood

Kojou Akatsuki's days as an ordinary high school student in Itogami Island's Demon District come to an abrupt end after a fateful encounter leaves him with the remarkable abilities of a vampire.

It doesn't take long for him to be thrust into the spotlight when it is discovered that he is the fourth eldest, an immensely powerful vampire that most consider merely a legend.

Fearing Kojou's destructive potential, the Lion King Organization sends an apprentice sword shaman, Yukina Himeragi, to monitor, and if he becomes a threat, kill the boy considered the most powerful vampire in the world.

Forced together by circumstances, the two form an unlikely alliance when Kojou comes to terms with his abilities and both fight to protect the city from various emerging chaotic forces.

My opinion on Strike the Blood

Very popular because of its protagonist. Not because the protagonist has a good attitude and is powerful in his own right, it has nothing to do with it. The fact is, to get powers he needs to drink the blood of people, and what does that mean? Yes, lots of girls with bitten necks.

Of course they all gave permission and that's what's interesting. With the exception of these parts, the protagonist is common (cowardly and always on the run when it comes to women). But that's not all, to top it off there's still a big, boring catchphrase that the two who were featured in the synopsis use every time they fight together. Which makes the fight even more boring and predictable. my grade is 7

Ichiban ushiro no daimaou

Dreaming of changing the world forever, Akuto Sai transfers to Constant Magic Academy, where he befriends a virtuous member of the ninja clan, Junko Hattori. On their way to the gym, they vow to make the world a better place together; however, the situation suddenly worsens when he arrives – it is prophesied that he will become the Demon King!

As word of his fate spreads, the school begins to fear him, and Junko's trust in him wavers. While Akuto is determined not to let his foretold future control his destiny, it seems that everything he says and does only serve to reinforce the fact that he is destined to be the Demon King.

Plus, he's surrounded by a harem of pretty girls, each with their own plans for him, from bringing him to justice to simply showering him with love. With his newly awakened powers, Akuto must deal with his growing list of misfortunes and fight to prove that his fate is not set in stone.

My opinion on Ichiban Ushiro

To relieve the tension of so many cowardly protagonists, here's the anime that has one of the badass protagonists I've ever seen. It doesn't match Tatsuya (mahouka kouko) in some aspects but totally surpasses it in others. And for this reason there are others that I cannot say, this anime is on this list.

And not just to make any participation, this anime is on merit. It's not every day that an anime appears where the protagonist is found in a big dilemma. For your nature is for evil, but your conscience is for good. And with this dilemma he has to deal with throughout the anime. Too bad it only has a single season even with more than 10 volumes of the light novel.

Rosario to Vampire

Youkai Academy is a seemingly normal boarding school, except its students are monsters learning to live with humans. All students attend the human form and accept normal academic subjects such as literature, academia, foreign language, and mathematics. However, there is a golden rule at Youkai Academy – all humans found on school grounds must be executed immediately!

Tsukune Aono is an ordinary teenager who can't get into any high school because of his bad grades. His parents inadvertently enroll him in Youkai Academy as a last-ditch effort to ensure his education.

As Tsukune unknowingly enters this new world, he has a date with the most attractive girl on campus, Moka Akashiya. Determined to remain in the dangerous realm in order to further his relationship with Moka, he doesn't realize that beneath her beauty is a menacing monster - a vampire.

My opinion on Rosario + Vampire

I would love to be in this character's shoes, there's the bad part of suffering from ammonia from having your blood sucked every day by a vampire. But it doesn't take away the glory of being able to live together and be disputed by monster girls who are beautiful.

Yes, I have a little fetish for anime that have monster girls. But that doesn't influence anything in my opinion about the crux of this anime, which is the protagonist having a preference for a single girl. What goes through the minds of pros to choose just one girl? It seems I will never understand this.

Well folks, this article is all I can offer. Unfortunately I don't have as many anime with protagonists the way I admire them, but I can't do anything about it. But luckily there are some that I can relieve stress. And I do it routinely, so much so that I've lost count of how many times I've watched Rakudai kishi and Trinity seven.

But anyway, if you've watched any of the ones I put here on this list, comment, give your opinion about it. And if you have any doubts, suggestions, questions or anything else, just comment below. And thank you, my dear reader, for reading this article this far and until the next one. Don't forget to take a look at the other lists we have on the site.
