Kanji are Chinese characters also used in Japanese writing since the early years of a writing system in Japan. The word “Kanji”, means “character of the Han Dynasty”, Chinese dynasty that lasted from 206 BC to 220 AD and responsible for standardizing the characters.
Unlike the Korean language, in which Kanji was replaced by Hangul, introduced in 1446 by King Sejong the Great, the fourth king of the Choson dynasty, in the Japanese language these tenebrous characters are still used and without a doubt, the learning of Kanji is one of the most discouraging points for Japanese students given its complexity.
