And now let's talk about Pokémon Go!
What is Pokemon Go?
Pokémon Go is the new game that was released in the year 2016, the game was in development since 2013 and was made by the company Niantic in partnership with Nintendo. The game is innovative, bringing the possibility to capture pokemons in the real world with augmented reality.
the coolest of pokemon go is how it works, the game uses resources such as GPS and the use of the cell phone camera to capture pokémons.
Using your GPS, the game will tell you where a certain Pokémon is, and using the camera you will detect it and then, with your Pokeball, you will capture it.
To catch a Pokemon you need to walk, so you approach the given Pokemon and then catch it. Pokémon Go also has Pokémon Gyms, where you can battle and conquer them. The game also features PokéStops, where you can find things like Pokémon Eggs, Poké Balls, and other exclusive items!
Pokemon Go plus
The Go Plus is a kind of watch, which can also be used as a brooch, the Go Plus will notify you when there is a Pokémon nearby, it will notify you when there are upcoming events, the location of other players, and other uses, as well as increase the fun.
To use the Go Plus, a connection via Bluetooth is required, warnings are emitted through vibrations and through lights of different colors.
The use of the Go Plus is not necessary to play Pokémon Go, however, rumors say that using it increases the chance of catching a Pokémon, thus increasing your chances of having a new Pokémon in the pokedex.
The designer of the Go Plus is quite nice, however, the price is not so nice. As of the date of this article, the value was £34.99. (Approximately R$171.63).
The Pokemon GO game caused a lot of controversy during its debut in the world. Every day a news or curiosity happens more absurd than the other, among them we have some interesting points to highlight:
- The game has had people finding bodies, witnessing robberies and even being run over;
- The game was searched more than the word porn on Google;
- Some government agencies around the world have engaged with the game through comments, photos and requests;
- Pokemon GO raised Nintendo's market by 9 billion in launch week;
- The game was played longer than the use of whatsapp and Facebook;
- The game became the most downloaded app from both systems' app stores in a few days in some countries;
But why has Pokemon GO been so successful in such a short time? Was pokemon GO really an innovation? The success of this game was due to the name Pokemon, as this is one of Nintendo's most famous game franchises, in addition to the anime being very successful.
Other similar games that use augmented reality and GPS systems haven't been as successful as Pokemon GO. The game was able to get the attention of all the media, including attracting people who are not Pokemon fans.
Is that you? What do you think of this game?
