Over the centuries, these millenary people have developed their own beauty techniques, and have been ahead of the rest of the world when it comes to delaying aging. However, today we are here to talk about a technique that has not been done for a long time in the lands of the rising sun: the Japanese progressive.

Alongside this technique that has been spread to the rest of the world, the homemade shine bath can be considered one of the great assets for those who want to have the beauty of the black hair of Japanese women, without needing to invest in more complicated or even very expensive techniques.

What is the Japanese progressive?

The Japanese progressive, is a deep straightening technique, which uses til glycolic ammonia acid, which is responsible for opening the hair cuticles, and changing the structure of the wires. The traditional Japanese progressive does not contain formaldehyde in its composition, but it is important to always be attentive, and to read the product label carefully, as the market is crowded with new products, which call themselves "progressive" or "Japanese straightening".

Despite not taking formaldehyde, the Japanese progressive, as well as any other chemical procedure in the hair, can cause damage to the structure of the wires. Therefore, it is good to always be reinforcing the health of the hair, through care, such as hydration and hair nutrition.

To make it at home, you will have to follow the instructions on the product label, as each one of them has its own way of being used. However, the ideal is to look for your trusted hairdresser, to do this type of procedure safely.

But what about the glow bath? Can I do it at home?

Well, unlike the Japanese progressive, the shine bath, can very well be done at home, because it is a simpler procedure, and with less risk to the hair. Therefore, we will teach you how to make a homemade glow bath, using just a few very simple products, to be found in a pharmacy.

Homemade glow bath:

  • For this amazing recipe, you will only need:
  • -3 spoons of white moisturizing cream;
  • -1 ampoule of vitamin A, D and E;
  • -1 spoon of argan oil;
  • -½ of dye in the color of your hair;
  • -Latex gloves and a small bowl.

Since we're going to be using paint, apply a little moisturizer around the skin so it doesn't smudge. Now, just mix all the ingredients, and apply to the hair with the help of a brush.

After 30 minutes, simply wash your hair under running water, finishing with the conditioner of your choice. This process can be repeated once every 30 days, as the paint has a slightly longer lifespan.

We hope you learned how to have the shine and softness of Japanese hair. To the next!
